An ominous sound cuts through our moment and for a second I thought it was just apart of our moment. The ominous sound played again back to back and I realized that it was a phone that was ringing, which was not mine. Chuck clears his throat and looks at is phone, his expression changing from happy to annoyed within a split second.

"I gotta go," Chuck rises up suddenly phone gripped in his hand.

"Is everything alright?" I ask getting up from the couch and walking him to the door.

"Yeah. Listen, I had a great time with you. I'll call you later? You can keep the groceries," Chuck gives me a kiss on my forehead and walks out the door.

"What the the fuck?" I sigh as I shut the door behind him. Did I do something wrong? I thought we were having a good time. Who was calling him and why did he just up and leave? Was it Josie? Does he still have feelings for her?

I'm still lost in thought when I glance over the couch and see Chuck's watch. I go into panic mode and grab the watch and run out the door. I get to the steps and I hear two familiar voices and my heart flutters and drops into the pit of my stomach. I peek over the window of the stairwell door to get a visual on what's going on.

"Why have you been ignoring me? Answer me!" Josie demands pushing two fingers in his chest.

"I haven't been ignoring you," Chuck says softly. "I've been busy."

"Busy with Serena I see," Josie scoffs. "How did you meet the girl anyway?"

"Pop's," Chuck rolls his eyes. "And what's it to you anyway? Why do you care that I'm dating her? You broke up with me remember?"

"Yes, I did. You are a dog." Josie exclaims.
"Yeah and you're a whore, what's new?" Chuck snaps back.

"What the fu—"

"No, I'm leaving," Chucks starts to walk down the steps. "I'm done with this Josie. This back and forth shit. You made it VERY clear that you wanted nothing to do with me and now that I'm moving on you now want to give me any attention? I'm good."

"But wait," Josie wails and follows him, turning him around. "You don't love me anymore? Do you even miss me?" Josie starts to cry.

"Aww Jos, I do miss you. You know that."

My heart drops at that revelation. I look down blinking rapidly trying to hold back tears and I look up again teary eyes throw the small window and my eyes start seeing red. Josie leans in and kisses Chuck and he cusps her face and kisses her back. I turn away from the window and I decide on what I should do. Should I go in and cuss him out? Throw his watch at him? Or maybe finally smack Josie instead. It's been a long time coming for her..."
I clear my throat, take a deep breath and go through the stairway door where Chuck and Josie are currently lip locked. They both look up at me and Chuck's color in his face disappears like he seen a ghost while Josie smirks and taunts me with her eyes.

"Here's your watch. You left it on my couch after you buried you face in between my legs," I say cooly throwing the watch at him. I run back up the stairs and  I slight sprint to my door.

"Serena, wait I can explain," Chuck catches up to me almost out of breath.

"What is there to explain? I saw you kiss her. You clearly still have feelings for the girl." I roll my eyes and try to push past him.

"I mean Serena, you can't just expect my feelings for her to just disappear. I was with her for two years and we've been through a lot."

"Are you dense? You weren't honest with me and that's the problem. I opened up to you and you couldn't give me that same respect!" I shout at him seeing red once again.

"I get that, I fucked up. I'm sorry. Let me just explain some more—-"

"My God Chuck what more is there to explain? We had a big conversation about y'all relationship and you conveyed to me that you were done with her. You know this girl has been harassing me every where I go and now I see why."
I scoff and go into my apartment and slam the door in his face, locking the door. I lean my back against the door and close my eyes, taking deep breaths. I hear muffled loud voices and I recognize them as Chuck and Josie. I ran into the room and grab my phone ready to text Sasha and tell her about the latest revelation Chuck and I. I pause however, because I much as I love my best friend, I don't need her coming over here raising hell trying to defend my honor. I need to sit, think, and figure out how to navigate this situation on my own.

I go back into the living room and I hear muffled loud voices outside my door. I peep through the peephole and see Chuck and Josie having an argument.

"Really Chuck? You had your head in between your legs and you had the nerve to kiss me?"

"Come on, we aren't together anymore Josie. I'm moving on now and you clearly have been doing the same. I have to make this right with Serena. I actually like her."

They continue to shout and not wanting to hear their voices anymore, I put on my Bluetooth headphones and zone out to Taylor Swift.
Cause I knew you were trouble when you walked in, So shame on me now, Flew me to places I'd never been, So you put me down oh I knew you were trouble when you walked in, So shame on me now, Flew me to places I'd never been, Now I'm lying on the cold hard ground...
