I'm friends with Noah. But I need a Girl friend. Someone to chat about boys with, and do makeup and nails with. Noah's offered to introduce me to his sister, so we are all going to the park today. All I know is that she's in my grade, she's Noah's twin, and her name is Gwendollyn.
We arrive at the park, I must admit I am a little nervous. At times I can be incredibly shy and sometimes I can get light headed when I'm nervous. But here goes nothing. I walk right up to Noah and give him a hug,
"Hiya Noah," I say casually
"Hello, Melanie" I give him a look. I don't like being called Melanie. I prefer Mel, or Lanie.
"Hello! I'm Melanie, but you can call me Mel," I say
"Hello, I'm Gwen," she says
We spend the whole day talking about life and things that friends talk about. I can't believe that I pulled myself to making friends. I feel so proud.
