            "Hey thank God you're here"

"What's wrong?"

"Something happened"

"Spit out junior. You're making me anxious"

"I don't know where my wife is but that woman in there isn't her. Do something Lachlan"

Vince stared at JR for a moment then smiled realization dawning. "Yeah about that. Ever heard of the saying 'You reap what you sow'? Well this is one of those instances. You planted the seed and now it's time to reap the rewards. Go champ" he pumped his fist in the air making JR's nostrils flare  in anger and frustration.

"I am asking for your help and you're making fun of me?"

"No. I'm just saying that this is what it means to be there for her. Remember your vows? For better or worse junior."

"Please Vince. Help me out"

"I'll just sit here and wait for it to be over. Call me when you guys are done"

"We used to be best friends. For the sake of the love we felt for each other at that time please help me"

He burst out laughing. "I work with criminals every day. Trust me emotional blackmail won't work with me"

"You will come to me for help one day and I'll rub this moment on your face. Just you wait and see" he bit out realizing Vince wasn't going to help him.

"Don't count on it man."

Growling JR turned around just as he heard his name being yelled from down the hall. He wanted to crawl up in a corner and hide until it was all over but he couldn't do that. God knew what Hayley would do to him. He remembered when Nick had told him once how she scared him. He was terrified of her right that second. Christ she was like once of those bulls at the rodeo shows. The way she was looking at him alone made him want to beg for forgiveness. He looked back at Vincent who just shrugged smirking. JR was tempted to punch him but the sound of Hayley yelling his name again made him move forward, towards her unwillingly. "Baby I'm sorry. Please forgive me"

"Do I look like the fucking priest to forgive you?" she growled grabbing his hand. Her grip was too strong, almost crushing his bones.

"I love you" he tried but she just tightened her hold making him wince. Where was his sweet, lovely wife?

"Get this baby out of me before I kill you!"

"The doctor said....."

"I don't care what the doctor said. Get him out James. I want him out right this second"

"But....."

"JAMES!" she bellowed then bent down groaning. They had been at it for two hours already and he just wanted his wife back. This monster she'd turned to was really scary. As of that moment she'd threatened to kill him for the forty fifth time. That was just when he was counting. Nick had fled the second she'd gone into labor claiming he was going to buy the baby last minute gifts. Jayden as they had decided to name him, already had a room full of things he wouldn't need for years all from Alexis and Jim. The kid didn't need anything else which meant Nick was abandoning him again. Some friend he was. And that idiot Vince was sitting there watching them like he was at the movies.

"Jayden Elmer." JR said to Vince. He smiled triumphantly then got up, approaching them.

"Hayley breathe" he said taking her face in his hands. JR moved back thankful he wasn't the one about to receive more insults. "Through your mouth Hayley. Come on. You've done this before, remember? In and out. There." she did as Vince instructed her and within seconds she had calmed down. The shock on JR's face was visible to anyone who passed them in the hallway.
