"why not go talk to him" the king said with a smile as he stopped behind mikasa who was looking out the window watching Levi talk to some MP soldiers. "he busy with the meeting and stuff, I wont want to get in his way" mikasa said turning to her grandpa. "I see, you know mikasa I had another son, not just your dad right" the king said sitting on the window chair and mikasa sat next to him. "what do you mean, my farther was the only prince born" mikasa said puzzled.

"I had a son with my lover when I was young before I married the late queen" the king said with a smile. "but you cant we need to clean rich blood line that was you always told me" mikasa snapped. "yes that what I was taught and every king or queen before us" the king laughed. "so what did you have a lover if you married the queen" mikasa asked. "its a long story and a deal we royal bloods made, mind listening" the king asked with a grin. "sure I want to know the truth" mikasa said and turned to the king.

"everyone royal blood soon to be crowned child is allowed to have a lover and a child with that lover in their life but the child will either be hidden or it become a royal, but in return that royal child will have to marry whoever is picked by the former king/queen with no fuss and they have to have a child with there married partner, its the deal everyone bloodline has been given, but you only allowed one lover and one lovers child no more" the king said with a smile. "but what about dad he married a slave and had me and my brother" Mikasa said shocked. "well you see I gave him the same deal the rest of us had but he loved your mother with all his heart and wont marry another women so he ran away with her and had children, so because he broke the deal his title was took away and his children was pained with the burden of the royal blood with no one knowing there story" the king said with a frown. "so was there any royal blood who married someone they truly loved and never had a lover" mikasa asked with worry. "well yes some have married some they loved and never needed a lover but as many are forced to marry young royal bloods dont have much time to find a true love so that why the deal was invented to give us a chance and it always worked for many years" the king smiled. "so your other son, who chose if he would stay as royal blood or be hidden" mikasa asked with worry. 

"well you see Its up to the royal blood and there lover to chose and I wanted them both to be free so they left not long after I married the late queen and years later your dad was born, but I always worry and miss my other family but as a royal blood is a path we all have to walk" the king said looking to his feet. "so what happens to the lover if the lover child becomes a royal blood" mikasa asked with a smile and patted her granddad arm. "well the lover would have to leave the royal blood and the child and the child will be tricked into believe there real parent was the one the royal blood married, but not many royal bloods keep there lover child they just let them go so they can live happy" the kind said with a grin.
