Montegro pulled up in front of his house. Alex's mouth held open, his 'house' was fricking huge! Montegro smirked at her childish expression but then the memory of the Montes gang landed firmly back into his mind.

Montegro curled his fists up and breathed slowly, he did tell Alex about the threat, the Montes knew about Alex and Emi which undoubtedly would put their lives in danger. Alex looked at him and smiled.

"I trust you Montegro, i trust god, and I know he'll protect me."

Montegro recalled the string of colorful words Javier spat out on the phone. They were equally pissed as shit! He realized how much this one woman effortlessly altered him, she shifted him from the brutal and sadistic beast he was to a more peace-keeping human. He smiled, he knew that beast had sizzled down because of Alex but it was still there. He looked at her face. Everything in him wanted to trace out the perfect features of her yet ungrounded beautiful face. Her face lit up suddenly causing Montegro to look in her line of sight.

It was his family.

He sighed and hopped out of the car and went around to open Alex's door. She came out, her hair blowing up and her dress flared out as the air bundled underneath it. Montegro's eyes widened as he was just awestruck for the umpteenth time by her. She snaked her arm through his which further surprised Montegro. These recent days, she grew closer to him, opening little by little, showing him what a humble and pure human being she was. He led her to his family who were all gathered out front.

"Mi familia, this is Alexandria Kane, the woman who has been keeping an eye out for me" Montegro said. His grip on her hand tightened but it wasn't uncomfortable. Alex looked at them and said hello. Her beautiful face shyly greeting them with a smile. Montegro saw his mother come to the front. She looked at him and then at Alex.

"Alexandria Kane? As in commissioner Kane's daughter? "She touched Alex's face "Dios mío! Ella es muy Bonita!" She remarked.

Alex blushed knowing what she said. Montegro's mother pulled Montegro into a heartwarming embrace. She bit her lips to stop the huge Aww that was about to escape. She stood next to him staring down at the ground and silently dragging her heels to and fro. Nervous? No Alex wouldn't say she was nervous...Nerve wrecked was more like it! She felt someone in front of her and when she looked up it was Montegro's mother. She smiled and Alex could see how much he resembled her. She looked at Alex intently and Alex began to shuffle her feet nervously.

"Mama, you're making her uncomfortable..." Montegro said. She blinked and smiled awkwardly at Alex.

"Lo siento my dear it's just that you look so much like your mother..." her voice trailed off sadly and Alex knew that tears were making their way to her eyes.

"You knew my mother?" She asked. She nodded.

"Bianca was a woman of honor and her presence was addicting, when you became friends with her, she'd keep you for life." She said and Alex knew that was exactly who her mother was. "Oh my, I'm here telling you about our history and I didn't even introduce myself. Julietta Mundo, the mother of this-" her finger pointed to Montegro, "worrisome young man!" Alex forgot about the tears as she laughed. Montegro plastered an irritated look on his face.

"Mama..."

"Anyways I'll let the rest of the family introduce themselves to you." Ignoring him completely earning another giggle from Alex. A younger woman stood and introduce herself as Montegro's sister Melodie. Beside her was a little girl. She was probably no older than five. She giggled as Montegro tickled her. This was the child he was talking about...the five-year-old. Melodie guided her towards Alex where she hid behind her. Alex stooped down to meet her height.
