Inside my room, mom was on the floor sobbing so hard, she can see what others can't see. My father tried to come closer to Ceres but mom stopped her.

"No, don't. you'll die you come closer..." my mom said while crying.

Dad held my mother's arms and they all stepped back apart from me. I took a peek onto my room and see nothing but Lena was in agony state. I glanced back to them with confusion and frighten on what's going on here.

"Baby, her soul was dying..." mom said while her gaze on Ceres who was still lying on the bed not moving.

I chuckled but it faded as I kept watching mom not looking away from Ceres.

"...she's been suffering from 500 years ago from such loses but she managed to pull herself back by blocking everything around her until now..." mom explained to me then Lena howled at the back of my head.

"...until she found you." Mom continued that made my jaw dropped.

"Her soul was getting okay around you even your harsh to her but rejecting a soul of a vampire mate cause destruction." Mom said that made me looked back at Ceres who was wide awake and standing in the middle of my room with such bloodthirsty red eyes.

I shivered but good thing it was just sunset.

Ceres growled. I gasped but I didn't move to where I'm standing at the door frame.

"C-Ceres..." I called her name.

She flinched and met my gaze. We're standing still and not listening to everything around us part from each other. She's glaring at me like a prey to devour but I don't know why my heart was calming down. I moved slowly toward her and she growled but not moving. I was about to reach her face but she took a step backward that made me touched her cold-warm face.

"Don't. I won't do anything." I told her with such calm voice. I don't know where did it came from but I'm not afraid of her.

Her scent was still the same irritating to my nostrils but when I reached her face it changed into something sweet. I can't explain it clearly but I can tell it was sweet, delicate and deadly dangerous for mare human. I sighed as I smiled. I went closer to her but she was about to move away again that made me do something I don't usually do to a stranger.

I cupped her face closer to mine like we're about to kiss but not. I stared to her eyes intently and she does the same. She growling like she was going to devour me in no time but I chuckled.

"This side of yours is new to me, so kindly...calm yourself." I said sweetly to her but she was emotionless so different from the Ceres we've known – I know.

She still was growling so deep yet calmed.

"Ceres...I'm sorry...but I don't want to love you..." I said with my sorry tone that made her even madder at me.

"NO! Not that! It's not that I hate you or what...it just you irritate me with your scent that made me push you away though my wolf was against to it. But I was stubborn like her. Anyway..." I continued then I sighed.

"I don't want to love you because of the influence of the mate thing. I want to love you as me and loved by you as you..." I finished my explanation that made her fell onto the floor like a lifeless body but not.

I was surprised to that action. I worried about her condition.

"Ceres..." I was worried.

She didn't respond or made any movements but her scent really does irritate me.
