AUTHOR'S NOTE

Happy New Year guys! Hope everyone had the best night ever (or as good as it could be because we all know new years is a huge hype of shite most of the time lel) but anyway since this chapter continued on directly from my last one figured I'd post it now that i'm no longer hungover.

Appreciating so much all of your comments and votes it makes me very happy :)

New Years Eve, 2009

It was like a bad dream that I just couldn't seem to wake up from.

He fumbled over his long legs as he tried to get up off the floor of the toilet, calling out my name desperately.

"No George, you need to stay the fuck away from me!" I screamed, wishing I could run down the hallway.

"Evie, baby, fuck," he kept tripping over his feet, "baby, stop please...let me explain!" His hand clasped my upper arm and the force of his big body against my small one gave me no choice but to stand still.

"George you need to let me go right now. I've had enough of tonight okay... I'm going home!" I had texted mum back in Ross' room to come and pick me up so she was on her way.

"No! You need to stay, we need to sort all of this out!"

"SORT WHAT OUT GEORGE!?" Yelling at the top of my lungs. I had officially lost my cool. I was done. "Sort out the fact that I just caught you in there doing cocaine? Sort out the fact that I just got fucking horrifically abused by Tara and you weren't around? Or sort out the fact that you invited her and Jessie here knowing I was coming because you want to get back together with her? There is not one thing that I want to sort out with you. I'm done!"

I snatched my arm from his grip and walked quickly, quicker than I should have been, down the hallway. I tried frantically to wipe the tears from my cheeks but they kept coming. I was devastated.

As I rounded the corner I saw Lauren and Matty both with confusion and sadness on their faces. I didn't say anything to either of them, I just had to get out of there.

Their voices carried outside the door I'd left open but it was still George's booming vocals that were the loudest. I was careful as I walked down the steps of the porch, snow was still covering most of the ground.

"Evie, please!" George cried, he was outside now and right behind me.

"No George," I sobbed. "Just stay away. Please," I begged him.

I picked up my pace trying to escape him and it all happened in a blur.

I slipped.

It was like the ground had suddenly started moving underneath me. Feet rolling, my arms waving around my body to desperately keep myself upright and in the flash of a second I was on the ground, laying on my side.

"EVIE!" It was a mixture of voices, George's the closest. He had been right behind me but not close enough to stop me from falling.

A piercing scream left my lips as I clutched onto my stomach, praying frantically that my baby was okay. "Oh my God, George, the baby!" I cried.

He was over me now, trying to calm me down but nothing was working. I had just fallen over on the hard concrete, there was a good chance that this wasn't going to end well.

"Fucking hell, Evie, look at me okay, calm down baby...you need to get up okay!" I think that he was crying too but it was hard to tell with everything going on.
