"Imma run to the store with Jailynn." Aubree yelled, causing Amber to groan and mumble cuss words.
"Just when Latimore vomits all over the kitchen, she leaves."
"You need any help?" I asked.
"Yeah, help him up the steps and back to Cams room, that's where most of the guys are at."
I nodded, but then a question came to mind.
"How come their parents won't take care of them? They just dropped there kids off here?"
"Laila and Diggy's parents are on a business trip and Ray and Jacobs parents went to Los Vegas, so they left the kids here, like there isn't enough people here to begin with. And now everyone's walking zombies who throw there guts up EVERWHERE! I had to swiffer mop the floor twice and steam clean the carpet today, since everyone is practically dying. And Aubrees starting to get sick too, Laila and Ma are sharing a room, and I feel like I'm gonna go insane!"
"We'll how are you treating them? It's been two days and there not improving."
"We'll, i just give them a cold rag ad soup, what else are we suppose to do?"
I straight faced her like she was the dumbest person in the world.
"Have you tried tea and medication dumb ass?"
"No, not exactly." She thought.
"We'll, the only one that's up and walking a little bit is Chres, and that's because I gave him tea, and medication, along with the soup. That nigga couldn't even walk, but he's the healthiest out of everyone right now! Do you not know how to care for sick people or something?!"
"We'll sorry! I'm not a nurse!"
"Lord, please help me..." I rubbed my temples. "Aight, quit worrying about cleaning, and make a, hot toddy, with whiskey, water, and honey. Add some sugar, make like - 6, that is if you have any liquor. If not, then just make regular tea. I'll grab Latimore and drag him up the steps."
She ran to the kitchen as I saw a limping Jacob walk to the stairwell, as I put him over my shoulder and tried my best to haul him up the steps.
"I feel like a piece of dookie.." He mumbled.
"Yeah yeah yeah whatever, come on and sit down." I sat him down on the bed, when I smelled the air.
"Damnit, she ain't change the sheets since Wednesday!" I yelled.
I sat all the boys on the ground, and removed all the sheets, tossing them in the overflowing hamper, and found the Lysol and sprayed all of the beds.
Oh my god, I hope everyone turns out okay. I really need a break.
~
"I don't wanna catch anything Chres, I can't lay down with you." I frowned.
"Pweaseee?!" He begged, poking out his bottom lip. "All I have is a cough, I'm fine."
"But your still weak and snotty, I'll pass."
"Come on, I'll give you a fresh pillow, please? I'll clean up first, I'll spray Lysol and Clorox on my face, please!!"
"..... Okay, just go take a shower, you smell funny." I covered my nose, as he laughed and wrapped his big arms around me.
"Ew! Get off me!" I laughed, as he spun me around in circles, before we eventually fell on his bed.
"Your armpits stink, get off!"
"Yeah yeah yeah." He mocked, ending his sentence with a kiss.
I smiled, and hugged him back.
I felt his hands creep down my waist, as I pulled away.
"No touch!" I smacked his hands.
"Damn, I thought I fooled you."
"Whatever, now go and wash your ass, it's already bad enough that you possibly affected me with your crust bucket lips."
He flipped me off, heading into the bathroom, as I just laid on the opposing side of the bed.
Pulling out my phone, I decided to call my mom and let her know I'm okay, and maybe even pop the question of me staying with Chres for Christmas.
"Hello?" She said through the phone.
"Hey Mami!" I smiled.
Don't judge, I know y'all still call your parents Mommy and Daddy.
"Hey Jacob, I miss you sweetheart. Your never home anymore." She sighed.
I kind of felt bad for her, since it was about to ask if I could stay for Christmas too, instead of going to Mexico to stay with my grandparents for New Years and Three Kings Day.
"I know Ma, I'm sorry. When I come home this weekend, I promise I'll dedicate a whole week with you."
"It's okay, I know you really like Chresant-"
"Chresanto."
"Yeah, sorry." She laughed. "Gotta take care of your man Jakey."
"Ugh, your embarrassing." I smiled, a pink rushing in my cheeks.
"Whatever." She shrugged off. "But, do you wanna stay home this year, for Christmas? You don't have to go to Mexico this year if you don't want to."
My whole face lit up.
"Yeah... Sure. I was gonna ask, but I didn't wanna make you feel bad."
"You don't make me feel bad, it's fine Jacob. Just be safe, I understand that you want to spend time with Chres' family. It's fine with me."
Thanks Ma." I said, before something weird popped into my mind.
Why do I feel like my moms gonna ask me a question?
"Oh by the way, have you seen a white box? Foot tall, very heavy?"
Funny, she asked a question? How did I know that?
Wait, did she just say something about the box?!!!
Shit!! I forgot to put it back!
"Um, no. I don't even know what your talking about."
"Aight, we'll talk to you later, bye!" We said our goodbyes as I hung up, scared, and dazed.
How did I know that?
Why didn't I put it back?
And why do I feel like Aubree is gonna walk in here and Chresanto is gonna be out the bathroom in any second? And that I'm about to get a whole bunch of candy and snacks?
I heard walking as I saw Aubree curls peak through the doorway with a plastic bag.
"Hey Jake, I got you a full bag of candy and random shit. I know your stressed out, so I bought everyone some treats and such."
I then heard a door open, as a dripping Chresanto sniffed the air.
"Aight, someone has food."
"Boy please, you can't even eat this stuff, you'll get sick. Here." She threw the bag at me, while I fur on a fake smile, trying to conceal my deep thought.
"Have fun."
I nodded my head, as Chres walked over and snatched a candy out the bag.
"Fuck getting sick, this Hershey bar looking hecka good." He laughed, taking a tie out of the chocolate.
I however, was still confused as to how I knew all of this shit was gonna happen?
"Hey, you good Jake?" He asked.
"Yeah.... I'm fine."
