Thirty One

Sorry I took so long to update. I do hope to be more regular in the updating. Thanks for your patience with it all. 

Also how amazing was the crossover... I don't know if I love the whole Batwoman thing but I loved the other parts. Especially since there wasn't much of Iris and more of Caitlin in the crossover...

Barry quickly recovered from this and lifted her head. Worry rose inside him on seeing Caitlin like this. Finally she was able to turn back from Frost but why pass out? That never happened before.

"Caitlin... Caitlin..." called Barry trying to wake he up. 

Still nothing from her. She wasn't responding but Barry could see that her breathing seemed normal. 

He picked her up and zoomed to her room and gently laid her on her bed. Just then Thea was passing by and stopped. 

"What happened to her?" she asked. 

"I... I don't know. One second we are talking and then... her eyes rolled back and she passed out. Now I can't get her to wake up." 

"She no longer is... Frost is she?"

"No, she managed to change back."

"Maybe, it's been a long time since she was Caitlin and the whole bullet and what not isn't agreeing with the human side of her," stated Thea. 

Barry gave her a weak smile. He hoped that was true as Thea didn't really know what happened. Did it have anything to do with the kiss?

Oliver joined Cisco, Harrison and Felicity. Even though he was unable to see, the atmosphere seemed tensed and with everything that was happening... they really couldn't deal with another setback. 

"What is going on?" he asked as he felt his way to an empty chair. 

Someone held his hand and guided him there and he knew it was Felicity. 

"Well, I know how this whole mystery bullet is affecting me," Cisco chained in. 

"What are you talking about?"

"The bullet and what else that was mixed in that bullet has effected all of you in one way on another," started Harrison. 

"Because of it you lost your sight.. Thea is starting to see things... Caitlin can't seem to change back and..." continued Felicity. 

"Caitlin seems to be back. Cant say much as she is still unconscious," said Barry as he joined the others. 

"That's one good news we may have heard," joked Cisco. "I love Frosty but in small doses."

"Anyways... is she ok?" asked Oliver.

"Oh yeah, her pulse seems normal and all but she isn't just awake. Thea said she will stay with her till she wakes up. But back to this meeting."

"Cisco was trying to Vibe the others from the coffee mug from the so called station."

"I thought that maybe it would help us some way. Anyways when I tried Vibing, the weirdest thing happened."

"What?"

"Something seemed to be blocking it. Its hard to explain but it was like I was running out of fuel."

"Did you try just Vibing from one place to another?"

"Thats another thing.... I can't. Every time I try to vibe and open the portal... I can't get more than a few feet. Its draining me but nothing is happening."

"So the bullet and its content is getting to you too. What is that ingredient that is having this kind of affect on all of us."

"This all is getting ridiculous. Why are we always a step behind. We have faced so much worse opponents and yet they are humans," snapped Oliver. 

"Sometimes humans are worst monsters than aliens," responded Barry. 

"Im tried of losing and always being one step behind. We came here to be a team and our team is following apart right in front of us. We just want to help these people yet we are useless to them if we can't do anything," demanded Oliver. 

"So lets put our heads together and figure out a way to stop them or at least get one step ahead of them," added Cisco. 

"How exactly do you propose we start. Every time we think we have gotten ahead, we are suckerpunched back four steps," questioned Felicity. 

"We need to think like a team. We may have thought we were acting like a team but we weren't. We managed to deal with the worst of worst because we stayed true to this team... lets do that again," inspired Cisco. 

"He is right. Even though we have been working together... we aren't working together. The only time we were that team..."

"When we escaped them at the station."

"Yeah, we all are losing something and until we can figure out what that mystery ingredient is, we need to use each others weakness and strengths as much as possible."

"Lets do it then..."

"But where do you propose we start?" 

"Well, since Thea can see these things that we can't... we get her to take us to the source. If we can even get a smallest idea of where this started then we may be able to move forward."

"Do you think she will be able to handle it?"

"She is strong and I will be by her side the whole time," said Oliver. 

They all agreed that it was about time they took things under own control... They had started a losing battle but it was time to turn it all around. They had made a promise to keep their city safe and even though this wasn't their city, people needed their help. Whatever was happening wasn't a ghost doing it. It was a result of actual people and they had failed their city... it was time to deal with them...
