I'm currently too sad to even think about it... Learning that someone is leaving Flash at the end of this season was bad enough. Then came the news that its Cisco.... I'm still crying. To make things even worse... Arrow is ending with only 10 episode of upcoming season 8.

But also happy to see Caitlin direct her episode...

Caitlin came into her room. As much as she hated to admit it, she really wished that Frost was here. Yes she too may have been affected but just maybe she could do more here than her.

"Come on think Caitlin. What can you do to help your team?" Caitlin thought. Nothing no longer made sense to her and she was starting to get that sinking feeling where she no longer could breath.

Then she was snapped out when she heard familiar voices of Barry and Oliver.

"We managed to get out of there in time but we lost one advantage that we had, Barry," announced Oliver.

Caitlin went straight to Barry to check him out. Everyone watched in silence for a verdict.

"Everything about him is normal. Blood pressure, temperature and all. Whatever that has happened to him is only affecting his abilities," informed Caitlin.

"Ok so now we are all sitting ducks. We can't do anything, we don't know what is happening and we are too deep to just work away," snapped Diggle. "Does anyone else feel like this is starting to sound like déjà vu?"

"I'll have to agree with Diggle on that. Why is that we always end up at the same spot.  Back to square one."

All of them were gathered at the lobby. Caitlin paced around until she finally took a seat with a sigh. Barry looked at her and knew that something was bothering her and it wasnt just the situation.

"What's wrong?" he asked. "You know I'm fine. I guess this was bound to happen."

"I'm sorry but I think we were way over our heads thinking that we could deal with all this."

"Caitlin..."

"I know this sounds selfish and what not but maybe Colton was right. We were trying to be this league of Justice.. fighters and what do we have to show for it. We managed to deal with alien invasion, Earth X and we even stopped evil Superman and his friends. DeVoe seems like a piece of cake for us."

"As much as I hate this, Caitlin is right. We have faced far worse enemies in our line of work yet this has us all stumped. Why?" agreed Felicity.

"So what you suggesting? We give-up and walk away from all this. Just because we can't get a upper hand on them?" asked Oliver.

"I wish we had some good news to go with all these pushback. For goodness sakes Oliver, you cant see, Thea is losing her mind, Caitlin cant control her abilities neither can Cisco and Barry."

The atmosphere was turning tense and they all knew it. They all felt frustration and anger and no one could deny it.

"Maybe the best thing to now do is sleep on it and start fresh. We don't know how long this effect will be on our abilities and Olivers eye sight," Barry said in a calm voice.

                      //~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~//

Barry was going back to his room when he saw Caitlin on her computer. She looked tired and she was working on something.

"Hey, what you still doing up?" he asked as he took the seat next to her.

"It seems like I failed."

"What? Caitlin don't think that any thing that has happened is your fault."

"If only I could work out what was in that bullet. I still don't know what the other substance was that was added. Maybe that is what is effective our abilities."

"Can you just take a few steps back and think clearly about this. We all know that you are doing your best with what you have and we cant ask for more than that."

"Then why does it feel like we have lost. Barry, I haven't seen Oliver this broken up about something. No matter what has happened and how the situation is going, Oliver has always been a rock and always there to inspire yet even he is in need of someone to inspire him."

"I know and I too feel useless. But you know he hasn't lost hope and neither have I."

Caitlin and Barry sat in silence. For some reason, this silence felt good. It started to make things seem clearer.

However, the silence wasnt there for long. A loud crush startled them. Soon enough before they could even react, smoke started to fill the room and a blinding flash and another loud bang scared them.

Everyone came out upon hearing the racket.

"What the..." coughed Cisco.

"Is everyone ok," called Harrison.

"Yes," everyone responded.

Smoke was getting thicker and Oliver realised that they weren't alone. As best as he could, he got his guard up.

"Guys, all this isn't just for show. We aren't alone," he warned the others.

And sure enough just as he said this, he heard someone grunt and hit the floor. On his other side, someone yelled as well before crushing in the wall.

Oliver tried his best to figure our where the person one before he even attempted to hit them. With calm and steady breath he waited. He could feel someone very close to him and he waited. The person pulled on his shirt and just then, he grabbed that arm and with a quick step he swung the arm and pushed them to the ground.

But this was no use. Someone from behind hit him and he fell to the ground.

"Caitlin, Cisco" called Barry.

Barry tried to make out the figures through the smoke. He had finally managed to get to Felicity. With another bang, Team Arrow and Team Flash fell. The smoke stared to fill into their lungs and their attempts to fight back failed. They were fighting in a losing battle.

Felicity looked around and through the smoke she could see one by one, her team members fall.
