~Your New Life~

The fifth sun was setting, which meant it was time for you and all the other gems of all colonies to go to Homeworld and finally see the event everyone's been waiting for. It didn't matter if you liked her or not, the thought of her being set free popped up in your mind everyday. It never really for you, since you were only born 250 years ago and only heard her story, never lived through it. You listen to others stories and how tragic they say it was, but all you could do was listen, and never actually feel their pain.

You walk up floating steps to your grounds, where all the other Sapphires are lined up. Every gem has their curtain grounds where they're supposed to stand. You're one of the closets, besides the Diamonds and some other very important gems. You look upon trillions of gems below you, watching them all slowly get into place. You feel a slight nudge on your arm.

"Crazy huh? A million years! I didn't know if the Diamonds were actually going to do that, but they did," a blue Sapphire said standing besides you. "She was... something. But before everything started with the Crystal Gems I was with Blue Diamond. But when I came back I was reassigned with White Diamond. Crazy huh?"

You didn't know how to respond, so the other Sapphire answered for you.

"It's crazy I know! I tried so hard to stay on Earth, but the Diamonds wouldn't let me. They wanted the Crystal Gems to end. Their acts, their ways. The Diamonds left Earth alone and that's all I want. I didn't fight for it to go to crap in the end."

It took you awhile to understand what she was talking about. "Wait! You're that Sapphire who-"

"Everyone!" Yellow Diamond yelled allowed, getting every gem to make the Diamond symbol in return. "Today is the day we've all been waiting for. Some gems remember her, some gems have never seen her, and some gems don't even know her name. But since it's been so very long, we will go over everything," Yellow Diamond took a step back, and White took a step forth, blinding everyone.

"Hello my sweet little gems. How are we? Good? Wonderful. Today is exactly one million years Pink Diamond was put in this here bubble. Amazing isn't it? Well today, is the day Pink's punishment ends. We will finally free her from her bubble and she will be active once more. Since it was so long ago, we will never speak about what Pink Diamond has done to us, understood? She is going to come back, most likely not remembering who she is or what she did. But she has gone through her punishment, and has already..."

You yawned as the speech went on, you often did that. Yawning. You never saw anyone else do it before, at least not in front of you. Maybe there was something wrong with you, you thought. You did many other things that other gems didn't do and none of them had any reports. Like you lay down and close your eye, and go into another dimension of some sort? You could control everything, and it was always about someone else, or an event. Sometimes you had dreams about something that already happened. None of your dreams were the future. Maybe your dreams were the other strings in the web that never happened. 

The sudden sound of silence caught your attention. You saw your Diamond's fingernail reaching for Pink Diamond's bubble. Finally, you thought, you were going to finally see Pink Diamond. Finally White's fingernail popped the bubble. Pink's Diamond floated in the air for a few seconds. Then she started falling, giving White Diamond a disappointing look. Yellow and Blue Pearl dove under Pink and caught her, both fighting over the giant Diamond. They punched each other until Blue Diamond reached down and grabbed Pink, feeling the smooth gem with her thumbs.

You heard them whispering to her, but what were they saying? The web showed you'd never find out. What did these Diamonds expect? Pink Diamond to just suddenly reform after being bubbled for a million years? The Crystal Gems must have forgotten about her already. Some gems below you started pushing past each other, mumbling something. Finally they reached the platform the Diamonds stood on and did something nobody was expecting.
