Annika: Dadi, tell me who is Mallika? What's her connection with shivaay's condition?

Dadi: I will tell u puthar. Shivaay 's parents met with an accident when shivaay was writing for his last examination. Shivaay wanted his parents to be proud and happy to see him achievement then great excellence in academic, especially to create the record in his university and medical course with his academic excellence , he also wanted his parents to be proud with him by seeing him as a doctor. None of these dreams happened. Don't know why the fate becomes so much of hatred with Shivaay? Till it broken everything , be it a little desire and his biggest desire. He didn't even attend his own convocation. Did u see all the awards, framed certificates there? That's all belong to his convocation awards. The awards which he should proudly receive and hold infront of the lecturers , professors and students, was taken in a hidden and secret approach. He disconnects his friendship. He doesn't want to meet any of his friends after his college life because he doesn't want to reveal his weak side to them. He doesn't greet any of his lecturers , his favorite professors because he scares of the reality questions that they may ask! He doesn't want other to be sympathy with his pain. He has lost his strength! That's makes his everything including self esteems very low. I thought if we live in Oberoi Mansion, those happy times and memories of Shakti and Pinky would haunt us so we decided to surrender our property to ur father and leave the Oberoi mansion. The last day shivaay smiled was the day before he went for his last examination. He took blessing and went happily. After that, we heard the death of them. I couldn't console him much as I myself lost my only son and bahu. We failed to become each other heal puthar. Then, I pestered him much to join his work that he was offered by this reputable hospital after the recommendation of his university 's dean . He join after my strong command. There he met Mallika. His colleague. She becomes very good friend of shivaay. In fact, I would say she brings back the broken shivaay into the happier shivaay. Shivaay slowly overcomes the pain of his parents death. They become close. I even blessed them together to get married because Mallika was very nice, down to earth girl. She took care of shivaay in every way. She becomes another strength of shivaay after pinky 's death. Shivaay and I thought Pinky has sent Mallika as an angel to Shivaay. He becomes stronger and everything went well. They even decided to get married a year after. But I don't know who had casted evil eye again to shivaay. When both of them spent their happy moments in a park, while getting a balloon for a boy, a car crashed her. She admitted to hospital, she went into coma and after 2 months , she passed away without gaining conscious. Shivaay was very broken, being a doctor, he tried a lot to save her, atleast in regaining her conscious, atleast to hear her last words. Mallika's parents held shivaay's collar for failing getting Mallika back! They vented guilty feel on shivaay! Shivaay becomes a hatred person after that! He decided not to have anyone in his life because he thinks his unlucky charm could harm them. He even stopped to talk with me in order that I can live longer. I can't vanish Mallika's memory from him. I decided to give him sometime. That's the biggest mistake that I did. He bordered himself from me and everyone. He works as a doctor by profession, holding his pinky promise to his parents. Nothing more than that puthar. Shivaay forgets to smile, talk and have his old life back. He completely forgets to live, live like a dead soul!! He becomes an alcoholic. I couldn't do anything expect crying over his pain. He can't come over from his pain. He didn't let me to talk , he doesn't talk with me or anyone. I prayed hard to get him back and all was into vain! Unknowingly he becomes drug addict . The day I knew, was the day I had heart attack. I am sorry Annika. I beg you with my hands for your forgiveness. The day , your marriage proposal arose, I didn't think about Billu's alcohol or drug habits, I just think he can live his life back, get a good companion back because after my death, none will take care of him. He will become an orphan Annika. He doesn't deserve to live like that Annika. Shivaay is very nice guy Annika. If you meet him then, you would definitely like him. Unfortunately, now he is like that. Sorry puthar, for being selfish over your marriage. Your are right, you didn't deserve to like a married bond like this as you are too good Annika. I am feeling guilty for trapping your life and dreams with Billu. No girls will be happy to see their husbands as an alcoholic and drug addict. Will you forgive me Annika? I thought you will become his Dawn, but I didn't think that he will become your eclipse in life. I don't deserve for your forgiveness for my this selfish decision. I bound ur life like for my own importance , but trust me, I didn't do it purposely, your Dadi said wanted to get married with you. That's y I accepted.
