CHAPTER 2:Diagon Alley

LUCY'S P.O.V

After Vera helped me up, I felt a strange twirling sensation. Almost as if the world was spinning rather quickly, and as quickly as it started. It stopped.

"What was that?!" I asked loudly

"That, Lucy was apparation" She replied kindly looking down at me. "It helps a wizard , or witch get one place to the next."

"So. Teleportation?" I asked curiously

"Yes, But that isn't the only method of 'teleportation' we have." She replied kindly as she took out a stick I assumed was her wand and she poked a certain pattern on to a brick wall, and what happened next made me LITERALLY quake in my boots I was wearing, the solid, NORMAL brick wall seemed to mold into a brick archway to reveal an enchanting alley. I saw kids crowding around a window that had brooms and colored uniforms in them. To the other side there was a shop full of beautiful plants and other flowers, there was just so much to take in! "We will have plenty of time to waste exploring later Lucy," she said snapping me out of my haze "but now we must get your school supplies." She said turning into the strict lady that I had first seen from the tree only minutes ago.

"Alright Vera, what do I need?" I asked eagerly

"We need to stop at gringott's to get your money, oh! And here is your supplies list" she said quickly handing me a piece of parchment and dragging me to a marvelous bank, while she was conversing with the banker, I looked over my supplies list

UNIFORM

First-year students will require

1.Three sets of plain work robes (black)

2.Pointed hat (black) for day wear

3.One pair of protective gloves (dragon hide or similar)

4.One winter cloak (black, silver fastenings)

Please note that all pupils' clothes should carry name tags

COURSE BOOKS

(A/N HEY GUYS I AM SKIPPING THE BOOK LIST ITS TOO LONG, REFER TO BOOK 1 FOR THE LIST! BYE)

OTHER EQUIPMENT

1 wand

1 cauldron (pewter, standard size 2)

1 set glass or crystal phials

1 telescope

1 set brass scales

Students may also bring an owl OR a cat OR a toad

PARENTS ARE REMINDED

FIRST YEARS ARE NOT ALLOWED THEIR OWN BROOMSTICKS

By the time I read all of this Vera was standing there staring at me, as was the bank teller who was now off of his stool which made him so much shorter,

"What?" I asked curiously

"Nothing you were just standing there silently the whole time staring at your supplies list" Vera explained awkwardly

"Oh. Sorry! Let's continue." I say hurriedly, trying to get their attention off of me, I just hate being the center of attencion, I feel so akward... As I followed Vera and the midget into this cave, which had a roller coaster of sorts, it was a mine cart, but it looked cool, so Vera and the elf got in the cart and I got in and when we plummeted into the dark abyss that contained the gringotts vaults.

We came to a sudden stop towards the bottom of the cave and then we all got out as the elf fiddled with his keys, mumbling under his breath about how much he hates his job. When the goblin got the vault unlocked, and the door opened there were piles of gold, silver, and bronze coins, so naturally I took a hand full of each, then we all rode the minecart back up to the top of the cavernous cave and. Then we left after I thanked the elf.

When we got outside the light was blinding, and the street was a sea of random people.

"Alright, let's go get your supplies" Vera said as we walked in the flooded streets.

"Where to first?" I asked eagerly.

"Flourish and Botts" (the book store?) she said firmly

-----AN HOUR AND A HALF LATER--------

"We are almost done Lucy" Vera said happily

"We've been almost done for HOURS" I exaggerated. Luckily we only had to get my wand and a pet, and then I would spend the night at an inn called 'The Leaky Cauldron'

"Let's get your wand from Ollivander's" she sighed. She lead me to an old looking shop where a man with crazy white hair was standing at a counter

"Ah, I was wondering when I would see you Miss Black." he said wisely "it seems like your father was here getting his wand only yesterday" he reminisced.

"Okay." I said awkwardly

"Here, try this wand" he said, I stood there, awkwardly, I gave the wand a flick and I broke the window up front and the mirror across the room.

"Sorry" I squealed quickly putting the wand down.

"No problem, Repairo," he said as he pointed his wand at the glass on the floor and then it all just floated back into place and fixed its self "hmmmmm, I wonder" he said as he went to the back of the room. He stopped at an extremely dusty box and blew it off, he handed me the wand (which had a beautiful rose carved into the handle) as he said "twelve inch, oak with a phoenix feather core, slightly springy. This wand has been waiting for decades". I gave the wand a swish, and I felt warm and happy inside this wand felt perfect in my hands.

"Thank you Mr.Ollivander" I said kindly as I paid for my new wand

"No problem, Goodbye!" He called as we left his shop.

"Now let's get my pet!" I said to Vera as I sprinted to the shop full of owls, cats, toads, and other beautiful pets. I entered and instantly felt gravitated towards this beautiful, black owl she had an almost golden beak, and her tail feathers were white, I instantly knew she was the one, she knew it too, because as I walked to her, she flew over and landed on my shoulder. I walked up to the counter with her, a cage, and some owl food I payed two galleons a knut, and three sickles for the everything, as she hopped into her cage I whispered "I'll call you Shimmer".

I met Vera, soon to be Professor at The leaky Cauldron. She then said goodbye as she apparated away to god knows where, and I went up to my temporary room, changed into my new pajamas; sweat pants, and a tank top. I know SO fancy (I'm so fancy you don't even know). and then I plopped on to the EXTREMELY lumpy bed, but hey at least it's a bed, and I fell into a dreamless sleep.

SO how was that chapter? I am also notifying my fellow crazy people who are reading this that I won't be updating for a while because... school starts Thursday. YAY. NOT, so tell me are you guys excited for school? And don't forget to comment and vote! It really helps! and as always...
