We know that that the story has been dragging a little bit but we promise that its gonna pick up its pace from here. So cheers to all.

Charlotte's POV

This was it. Today I had to meet up with my future husband. To say the least I was dreading it. I was a nervous wreck and I had already stuffed my face with 3 packets of doritos and one huge cheesecake. Nervous eating.
I sprayed perfume and was ready to go. I had opted for skin tight black turtle neck and dark grey pencil skirt along with my nude heels and tied my hair in a loose bun with the bangs framing my face. I looked at myself one more time and went downstairs where dad was waiting for me.
"You look beautiful princess. Now shall we?" He offered me his hand.
"Thanks dad." I said while taking his hands. Mom came up to me and hugged me. "You look gorgeous love. Best of luck." I smiled at her and went outside to get into the car.

"La Viva Palace Paul."
"Yes Sir."
The drive to the Hotel was silent and comfortable. Dad was lost in his own thoughts and I was too nervous to do anything let alone make small talks.
After 20 minutes or so we reached the Hotel and we got out.
Dad beld out his hands for me, "you ready princess?"
I took a deep breath and squared up my shoulders and answered while looking at my doom, "yes dad I'm ready. Lets go."

We walked inside the posh hotel. I must agree that it was really impressive and without any doubt a lot of money had been spent on it. It was ony meant for the elites. We were greeted by a lady in her late 30s who immediately recognised my father and came up to us. "Good Morning Mr. Kingston. Mr. William is waiting for you in his office. Let me escort you up."
"Thank you" I said and we followed her the elevators.

The doors of the elevators opened and we stopped in front of the big oak doors. I took a deep breath and I followed dad inside the office and as soon as I took the scene in front of me I froze.

Adelrik Daron.

It was like life was playing a sick joke on me. Remember when we were kids and used to play on the trampolines and fell down, the other people would keep jumping just so that we couldn't get up again. Life was doing the same thing to me. He was sitting on the chair majestically like he owned the place and it was ironical cause he did. I felt like laughing at myself. How could I miss it earlier. Ofcourse Viva La Palace belonged to the Daron industries.

He must've heard my heels clicking on the floor because he looked up and the moment he looked up at me everything came to a standstill. His eyes were the same grey thunderstorms as I remembered them to be but there was something different about him. It was as if these years had matured him and he looked finer than ever. 5 years back he was a sight for the sore eyes but now he was a devil who was meant to alure me into oblivion and destroy me. It was like 5 years earlier all over again. So many emotions passed through his eyes and I couldn't even read one of them. He always had a way of stripping my soul naked and reading me like an open book but I could never even read a single thing about him. My stomach twisted at his sight amd I wasn't sure whether it was because I wanted to kill him with my bare hands or because at the same tme I wanted to kiss him till the end of the world. I looked away from him and looked at my dad. He was looking at me with a confused expressions.

Mr. Daron cleared up his throat and disturbed the ackward silence. "Hello Charlotte. Its been a long time since I've seen you. You've changed so much and you look beautiful. Come take a seat." He smiled up at me kindly.
I was too shook to say anything so I just smiled up at him and took a seat and waited for the bomb which was about to be dropped on me.

Adelrik's POV

I walked into the lobby of Viva la Palace and immediately everyone started greeting me. I ignored their greetings and started to move towards the elevators to head up to the office.
Dad had called me in the morning asking me to meet him since he had to duscuss business with me which according to me was very suspicious. He hadn't called me since that little disagreement we had a few nights back. Now all of a sudden he was calling to talk business had me looking for something fishy. But against my better judgement I just ignored my gut and decided I was overthinking. Again.
