TATE AND Joanna Langdon had both been born into the world on the same day. Tate had come out first, Joanna's little hand holding on to his foot. It'd be a story that would be told multiple times again and again for years to come. Tate and Joanna were considered miracle babies, the only ones born without any physicial defects unlike their other siblings.
The two were inseparable ever since they had been born, never seeing one without the other. They were each other's best friends and never bothered to find friends elsewhere. It was probably a bit unhealthy how the two were so close but Joanna didn't mind. Not even when she started to notice some of Tate's odd behavior as she got older. She just assumed that between their father abandoning them and being isolated in the house all the time, it was probably just getting to him.
Joanna would ask but he wouldn't say much of anything and she left it alone. She didn't think he would be hiding anything big from her. They were siblings after all. Joanna thought she had known her twin brother. But she would later be proven wrong.
"Tate!" Joanna shouted after her brother as she followed him into his bedroom.
"Tate! What did you do? Why is there a fucking SWAT team outside looking for you?" Joanna questioned, tears welling up in her eyes.
"Do you trust me, Jo?" he asked just as the sound of loud banging came through the house.
The SWAT team had made their way inside and it wouldn't be long before they came in here.
"Yes," she answered breathlessly.
"Then hide. Now!" Tate ordered and Joanna had done what she was told, always listening and trusting her brother.
She had been there under his bed and had heard everything. The gunshots firing and hitting her brother. Joanna had watched her brother die, his eyes once so full of life and now dull staring back at her as he bled out to death. Joanna covered her mouth as she sobbed, not wanting to let anyone know that she was there. Tate, her other half, was dead. It'd be the last time she would see him again. Alive, anyways.
Several days after Tate's death, Joanna couldn't bare with the thought of her brother gone. So she had done the only thing she could do. Joanna decided to join him, slitting her wrists in the bathtub. They had been born together and they would die together.
She had hoped that she would be with him in Heaven. But instead, she'd be cursed to spend an eternity with him and all of the other souls at the infamous murder house.
