It's been months since I've heard or seen him. On T.V I saw all these things about Chantelle and Tom, how they were supposedly together. I felt my heart ache each time I saw those things, In the end I was doing what I wanted to but it felt so empty. He and I were supposed to be friends b
ut yet ever since the whole incident on the beach he never called or anything. I went shopping with Rebecca and saw Bill every now and then, He never once mentioned Tom and neither did Becca. I didn't ask either, why should I? It's his fault for leading me on and now he acts like I don't even exist. Funny how his brother is more like my best friend than Tom was supposed to be. I wrote a lot of great songs because of him though, They were a big hit. I did more covers too, I recently had done one for "That's What You Get" by Paramore. Jewels and the girls were very supportive of me and set me up on blind dates but they never really worked out. It wasn't them, It was me. Literally. I couldn't get that man out of my mind nor my heart for that matter. He lived in my thoughts and dreams. I wanted to forget him and move but couldn't, why was this so hard? Dakota was always talking bad about him whenever I was around her, I guess maybe to forget about him sooner. Who knows? We were on our first official tour, well actually it was towards the end. We needed two more cities, I listened to the song I dedicated to him. It had been so long since I listened...every word spoken in the song made me think of how his smile was and how close we were to kissing, What I didn't understand was why he did it, What did I ever do to him to deserve such a shot to the heart?
Jewels: You ready for tonights show?
Genesis: Hmmm? (Takes headphones off)
Jewels: Are you okay? You've been very pensive lately.
Genesis: I'm fine. I'm just thinking about how far we've come in so little time.
Jewels: Liar. (Smile) I know you better than anyone else here. You can't fool me, you were thinking about him again weren't you?
Genesis: I just wish I could understand his reason for leading me on then just ditching me for some blonde who is clearly using him for fame.
Jewels: Haven't you seen the news lately? Well at least the news on celebrities?
Genesis: Nope. I don't like watching that stuff anymore.
Jewels: Well I come to inform you that you're right. She was just using him for fame, He denied ever being with her because she basically was using him.
Genesis: Hmm. That still doesn't change anything....I'm glad she did it, He deserved being crushed!
Jewels: Genesis what has gotten into you? Why are you so bitter against him?
Genesis: I'm not bitter Jewels...It's just he...
Jewels: Genesis, let it go! He made a mistake okay?
Genesis: He wasn't even sorry...
Jewels: (Sigh) Maybe because he's not used to saying sorry. Dakota only talks about the bad in him but have you given him the chance to show you the good? Genesis, If you keep letting the past hold you back then you'll never move on and you'll lose him. Do you want that?
Genesis: No...But I'm just tired of getting hurt Jewels. I don't want to go through the same things I did before. How do I know I can trust him?
Jewels: How does he know he can trust YOU?
Genesis: Yeah...I guess you're right. What should I do?
Jewels: You'll know when the time is right. (Smile)
