An once a week discussion turned into 4 days a week talks between Jasmine and Severus. He would pop in the see how she would be holding up or she would pop in to vent about anything she needed to talk about.

She didn't tell Tonks about it, out of respect of Severus reputation. It was killing her to not tell her, but she didn't want to lose Severus. She was happy he was there for her, it would break her if their talks stopped.

Their conversations were short, but it didn't matter to her. The fact that he cared was what was important. That simple fact usually kept her smiling through the day.

It was the last month of summer and Jasmine needed to go get some school books before school started. She got dressed, grabbed her wand and was off to Diagon Alley.

The sun beamed down on her body, she could tell the days weren't going to get cooler any time soon. She just wanted to get her stuff and come back home.

She finally made it and went straight to Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour. She got her favorite flavor, chocolate and butter beer mix. She paid for it and walked out, heading to another store.

She was headed to Flourish and Blotts to get supplies for school. She had her list ready and entered the store in a rush to escape the heat. She waved to the store owner and went to her book hunting.

Glancing back and forth from her list to the shelves, she got one book out of the two. Her focus was on her list, she wasn't watching where was going. As she rounded the corner, she bumped into whoever was in front of her.

She lost her balance and was about to land on her messed up hand. She cringed, waiting for the excruciating impact, but was surprised to be caught before it happened.

Her savior steadied her to her feet and let go. She was about to thank them when her eyes locked with familiar black ones. Her heart skipped a beat as she stared up at him.

"You must be more careful Jasmine or I will have to fashion you a whole new hand." he said with his signature smirk.

"P-Professor Snape!? Hi! I mean thank you...."

He nodded her her direction,"I see you're lacking certain supplies that Hogwarts asked of you."

"Oh....yes. I just can't seem to find the   Defensive Magical Theory by-"

"Wilvert Slinkhart, yes I know. Even though you're where the book is supposed to be placed, its under the S section instead of the W."

"What? Oh goodness, thank you professor." she said rushing towards that section and immediately she found the book. She placed it in the cauldron she was carrying to hold her items and went to check out.

She looked around for her professor, but he was nowhere to be found.  She bought her supplies and was out the door. She went to many other stores for the heck of it before she had to go.

After about an hour, she decided to head back home. Walking down the road near the last store, she had to stop as a door opened up. Then stepped out Severus and he looked at her in question.

"If I didn't know any better, I would of thought that you were following me." said a voice in front of her. She looked up at him, the only thing she can do is smile.

"Crazy enough, I was thinking the same thing Professor Stalker." she teased.

He gave her a smirked and looked around in confusion. Once again she was by herself and it made him upset. He crossed his arms, his face going from confusion to angry.

"You're by yourself again!?" he said in a harsh voice,"where are your parents?"

She flinched at his tone and tried to find the words to explain. He held up his hand to silence her, he didn't want to hear it.

"There's no excuse Jasmine. Your parents acted very concerned at Hogwarts and I see now it was all an act."

"They do care! It's just that...they're forgetful about things and really busy. I'm understanding, they love me!" she tried to defend her parents.

"I know they love you Jasmine, but you're being neglected. Wait.....did you walk in this heat!?"

She mutely nodded her head, her eyes not meeting his raged ones. He sighed and tried to calm down. He spoke in a more gentle voice to her so he wouldn't upset her even more.

"Will you like me to apparate you back home?" He asked.

She nodded her head and sighed with relief. She didn't feel like walking in that heat again. It wasn't like her house was close by, why not?

"Do you have everything you need?" he questioned.

"Yes...this isn't messing up your day, is it Professor?"

"Would I internationally waste my time, Ms. Garner?"

"No, of course not." she said as he placed his hand on her shoulder and soon they were gone.
