Jasmine was broken after leaving Severus that night. She was a crying wreck and worst of all, her depression started back up again. Tonks tried to comfort her, but she really couldn't since Jasmine never explained what happened.
It's been three days. Three days since she came out of bed. Tonks tried to give her some food, but she wouldn't even eat. Jasmine felt as though she lost the best thing in her life. She lost her best friend and lost the chance to love him.
She couldn't see herself with another man. She didn't want to be with anyone but Severus. She knew he would find someone else, and that was what she feared most.
'But he loves me. If he loves me, than he couldn't move on, just like me. He wouldn't be able to think about anyone, but me. He'll wait for me!'
That simple thought ignited the little speck of hope that was deep within her. The unknown future could be filled with numerous of possibilities. It may not be today or tomorrow, but one day they will be together. She'll make sure of it!
It wasn't even light outside yet when she crawled out of bed and into the shower. She lathered her body with soap, feeling refresh from her three day grief.
It was nice and early so she got dressed and headed down to the dungeons. She knocked on Severus door, but there was no answer. She did it again and she gave up on him answering it.
She used her wand to unlocked the door and barged in. There he was, reading the morning paper and a shock look on his face. She slammed the door and march up to him.
"Jasmine!"
"Be quiet Severus! I don't want to hear it! I love you and you love me, you're not going to move on! You love me too much and the same goes for me. It's January, we have a couple of months until I'm finished school. So here's the deal. We'll wait on each other until then. Nobody can say anything about us then, even though it doesn't matter to me regardless."
"That wasn't the point, Jasmine. You deserve better!" he exclaimed.
"Who are you to tell me who to be with!? If I love you, damn it Severus, accept it! I'm not going to let you mess up our happiness just because of your false assumptions. I.Want.You. Nobody else. You said you love me, that means there's nobody else. Wait for me like I waited these past years for you. You owe my heart that."
"Is there anyway I can change your mind?" he asked before she stepped forward and settle herself on his lap. He leaned onto shoulder as she passed her hand through his soft hair.
"Why would you want me to change my mind?" she asked softly.
"I don't want to give my heart to you only for you to realize it was just some phase. I don't want to be in the way of you find someone else." he answered truthfully.
"My love is only for you. As long as my heart yearn for yours, nothing can change that. I loved you for so long, I don't want any other."
He was quiet for a moment, thinking about everything she had said. He decided to give it a chance one day, but for now they would have to wait.
"On one condition. No romance during these next few months. Until you graduate, strictly friends, is that understood?"
"But Sev-"
"Do we have a deal?" he asked.
"Fine. Just friends." she caved in.
"Thank you."
Before she got up, she grabbed his face as she smashed her lips into his. His lips moved automatically, his mind forgetting to function under her touch. She pulled back, their noses still touching.
