I stared down at the mermaid in confusion an awe. I thought they were made up. But, now there's one right in front of me.

"S-sorry for reeling you up. I'll help you back in-"

"WAIT!" Izuku cut me off. "I can't go back in there. At least not yet anyway. There's a board of sharks down there ready to rip me apart. I can't go in."

"Well then... maybe I could take you back to my place for the time being?" I suggested.

"I don't want to be a hassle." He said.

"It's fine! Really."

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah. It's not a problem."

"I just met you and you're already kinder than Kacchan. Wait. How are you going to take me?"

"Kacchan...? Oh, right! I'll carry you. Oh, and don't worry. No one else is around so you won't be seen. The only problem is getting you inside without my siblings seeing you."

"Thank you Todoroki." Izuku smiled up at me.

I felt my face heat up as my heart skipped a beat. I calmed it down and gathered my things. Once done, I went over and picked the mermaid up bridal style. He was quite lite. I headed off, keeping hold of Izuku and my supplies. It was surprisingly easy and I made it to my house in no time. I headed round back and took out my spare key. I unlocked the door and peered inside, seeing no one. I let out s sigh in relief as I entered. I headed upstairs and into my bedroom. I dropped my supplies and caught fish before heading into my bathroom. I placed Izuku in the bathtub and started running the water.

"Thank you again for this." Izuku thanked as the water filled up to his shoulders.

He slipped under the water and stretched out his tail. Subconsciously, I moved my hand down to his tail, feeling his tail. He flinched a bit before relaxing. We stayed like that for a few moments till I heard Fuyumi running up to my room.

She slammed the door open, saying, "I knew you came back. Why didn't you say anyth-"

She cut herself off as her gaze dropped to Izuku who had lifted himself back up. She steadily walked over, keeping her gaze locked on the mermaid.

"No way... you found a mermaid?!" She exclaimed, kneeling down next to me with stars in her eyes.

"Calm down, sis," I hushed her. "And yeah. I accidentally pulled him up. He could go back in because of some sharks so I brought him back here."

"H-hello." Izuku stuttered.

Fuyumi squeals as she hugged the greenette. Izuku looked over at me inshcok and confusion.

"Fuyumi." I said, pulling her off.

"Sorry about that. It's just, I've been studying mermaids for awhile now. This is the second time seeing one. But you're right in front of me! I just couldn't help myself," She said, scratching the back of her neck. "That reminds me. Is it true that you can change your tail into human legs?"

"Uhh... f-for some races it comes easy. There are a few that can't though." Izuku replied.

"Can you?" I asked.

"W-well, it takes a little time, but, yes. I can." Izuku said.

He dropped his gaze. I followed, seeing the tip of his fins start to disappear. It trailed up, removing the shining scales as they turned into skin. It continued up till it was all gone. All that was left were a pair of green shorts. He stood up, stumbling a bit as he did. He leaned against the wall as he stepped out.

"Oh wow!" Fuyumi's eyes were sparkling as we both stood up.

"Why couldn't you do that before?" I asked.

"I-It doesn't come naturally to me. It takes time. Plus, I would've been stumbling over here." Izuku replied.

Fuyumi trapped him in another hug. She really likes mermaids. And I mean a lot. She's going to be on Izuku like butter on bread. She won't let him out of her sights. I feel sorry for the mermaid. Fuyumi finally let go of her hug, but, instead grabbed Izuku's hands and started jumping up and down like a kid who won a bucket of candy.

"Can I take some pictures?" She asked. "It's for a science project my friends and I are working on."

"S-sure-"

"THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!" Fuyumi cut him off before running out of my room to grab her camera.

We both turned to look at each other before bursting out laughing.

"You have one crazy sister." Izuku said in between laughing.

"She's usually more mature than this." I replied as I calmed down.

We left the bathroom and headed downstairs, only for Natsuo to run up to us. He grabbed Izuku's shoulders and looked him up and down.

"Are you really a mermaid?" He asked, grabbing his chin and tilting his head up.

"Y-yeah. I-I'm pretty sure I am." Izuku replied as Natsuo let go.

"Prove it." He said, crossing his arms over his chest.

'What happened to Natsuo?' I thought as we walked outside.

Luckily we had a pool. It was quite big too. Natsuo and I stood to the side as Izuku took a running start, flipping into the pool. We waited a few moments till he shot out, flipping again in the air. Time seemed to slow down as his green-blue tail kicked out with him, water flying all around. He dived back in, time speeding up again. I turned to Natsuo who wore a shock expression. I turned back to the pool as Izuku swam up to the surface, leaning against the pool edge.

"Is that enough proof?" He joked, looking up at the shell-shocked teen.

"Holy sh*t..." Natsuo murmured, staring down at the smiling mermaid. "You actually found a mermaid..."

"Yeah, I did-"

"I FOUND IT!" Fuyumi cut me off as she sped outside, coming to a halt at the pool edge holding her camera in hand. "Let's get this photo-shoot on!"
