I arrive at Heathrow Airport the next morning and grab a taxi home.

The flats empty when I arrive home, with everyone at work. I go up to my room to unpack and to try and process the last week. I find myself thinking about Noah, a lot! I really thought I would be fine seeing him again after so long, but it's just brought up all the old feelings and it makes me realise I still really care for him.

With the way things ended in college I kind of feel like we have some unfinished business. Maybe now that we are back in contact we can get some closure on it all or with any luck he'll get rid of Bethany and realise he can't live without me.

In all seriousness, I can't see Bethany lasting long though. It may have been years since we've been in contact but I know him, he gets sick of the drama and moves on to the next hot chick with no substance throwing herself at him.

He really has gone back to his old ways and I must admit, it's a little sad to see.

Something else that's also been playing on my mind is dad and home. My move to London was never meant to be permanent and with Mr Flynn dying so suddenly I think maybe it's time for me to go back to the States.
Renee is not going to be happy about this but I really feel I need to be closer to my family again.

I've already decided when I get back to work I'm going to talk to my boss about helping me find a job in maybe either Los Angeles or Chicago. She's not going to be happy either, but I know she'll understand where I'm coming from and will go the extra mile to help me move back home.

My mind is still going a million miles an hour when my phone pings, I look at the screen and it's a number I don't recognise. I click on it and read the text, immediately a huge smile spreads across my face. Noah is asking how my flight was and if I got home fine. He must have got my number from Lee.

"And what's got you looking like you just won the lottery?"
I almost jump out of my skin as Renee casually wanders through my door.
"Shouldn't you be at work," I say in my stern parental voice as I grip my phone to my erratically beating chest.

"And leave my best friend on her own after having such a hard week."
"You know I got home a couple of hours ago."
"Well, I may have spent the night elsewhere."
I raise my brows at this, she's a shocker!

"Do tell."
"Oh, nothing to tell really. Once I sobered up this morning I noticed he had terrible teeth and you know me and my stance on teeth."
"I'm surprised you didn't notice when you were drunk, you wouldn't normally go near bad teeth with a barge pole."

"I'm afraid I was blinded by his magnificent beauty and strong muscular legs."
"You sound like your describing a racehorse."
"Well, I rode him like one, does that count?" She says laughing.
"Gah! TMI Renee!" I say scrunching up my face.

"Anyway, stop avoiding my question, what's got you looking so happy?"
"It's no big deal, Noah was just asking how my flight was."
"You mean thee Noah Flynn, sex god and man-whore."
I let out a loud laugh.
"He's not that bad!"

She raises her eyebrows.
"You do realise I've seen his Instagram, all the countless bimbos!"
"I'm pretty sure most of them were just friends, " I tell her.
"Ok Elle, you keep telling yourself that," she says laughing at me,
"Oh shut up," I say playfully.

"So did you meet the newest bimbo?"
"Oh yeah, she was great!"
She looks at me questionably.
"I'm kidding she was horrible, she totally hated my guts. I don't blame her though since everyone could tell that he's still totally in love with me!"
"Wait, what?" Renee's mouth drops open.

"Ok, I made up the bit where he's still in love with me but he was being a bit flirty," I say laughing.
I still don't know if I should let myself believe what Mrs Flynn said about Noah still being in love with me, after all, she could be reading it all wrong. So I'll keep that information to myself for now.

"And how do you feel about him now that you've seen him after all these years?"
"To be honest...I still really care about him but our lives are so different now, I just don't know if I should be thinking about him as much as I have been this last week."
"We can't help who we fall for, you'll be seeing him at the wedding again right?"
"Yeah, we're both in the wedding party remember."

"Maybe just wait and see how that goes, it's not too far away after all."
"Oh, that reminds me, they've changed the date, it's not in July anymore. Since it was only a few weeks away they felt it was just to soon after Lee losing his Dad, so it's on the second of September now and since you are my date will you still be able to get time off?"
"Shouldn't be a problem, but I'll let you know next week."

"Cool, I guess I'll just see how things go then. He's promised to stay in touch so we'll probably just start off by reconnecting and catching up on the last 5 years. But in saying that, no harm seeing what other fish are in the sea. I'm sure you have someone your dying to set me up with."

"Well, now that you mention it I was thinking tonight we could double date with a couple of cool guys I know called Ben and Jerry."
"Haha! that sounds perfect."
