We head back to Noah's apartment where we get ready and change into some warm comfortable clothes.
So we are obviously not going to a fancy restaurant or anything, not that I mind. Been there, done that like a million times.
As we walk out of the apartment building towards Noah's pick up truck I get this really weird feeling that something is off.
Noah opens the passenger door for me. I'm being silly, get a grip, Elle, your just nervous about your date, I tell myself.
"How chivalrous of you kind sir," I say jokingly.
"Only the best for me lady," he says in a rough English accent.
I can't help but laugh.
"So, what's the deal with a massive pick up truck in the big city, must be a nightmare to park."
"Ah hindsight, such a beautiful thing," he says with a laugh.
"It was a present to myself after I became head physio, it's one of my favourite vehicle's. She's a beauty, but yes, a pain in the arse to drive in the city!"As we are driving I notice we are heading back to Noah's work. I wonder if he's going to show me around, we could have just stayed there if that's the case. Oh well, he's the one organising it so I keep my mouth shut.
This time we pull up outside of the MetLife Stadium. Ok, tour it is.
We walk inside and it's completely empty and eerily quiet.
Noah grabs my hand and leads me through the inside of the building through a couple more doors then down a narrow hallway.
We walk out onto the field and my mouth drops open!
There in the middle of the field is a helicopter.
I look at Noah,
"Is that for us?" I ask him.
He smiles at me.
"Traffic can be a real bitch this time of day, what better way to get from A to B." and then pulls me towards the helicopter.
"And where exactly is B?" I try.
He just taps his nose.
"Come on then, up you get."
Noah introduces me to the pilot and he helps us into our seats.
Before I know it we are in the air and heading towards New York.
Ron, the pilot takes us on a scenic flight giving us a bird's eye view of New York's famous landmarks.
I grab Noah's arm and squeal like a giddy school girl.
"This is so freaking awesome!"
He laughs and kisses me on the lips.
After flying above New York for about fifteen minutes we land near Newport marina.Once we are out of the helicopter and say bye to Ron, Noah leads me to the marina, then down one of the jetties. I'm pretty sure I know what's happening next, then, sure enough, we stop in front of a boat.
Now I don't know a lot about boats, but this one is a big catamaran. It's freaking awesome too and sitting on the back deck is a table all laid out with flowers, red wine, there's even some little heart-shaped chocolates as well.
"Aww so cheesy, but so cute, I love it!"
And I wrap my arms around Noah's neck and kiss him. As I begin to pull away he tightens his grip and deepens the kiss. We end up making out for a good few minutes before we hear someone clearing their throat from behind us.
"Shelley, this is my good friend Chris and our captain for this evening."
"Lovely to meet you, Shelley," says Chris as he shakes my hand.
"Likewise, and call me Elle."
I say then glare quickly at Noah.
"You kids ready to go?"
"As ready as I'll ever be," I say with pure excitement.
"Noah if you could unhook that that rope then we'll be on our way," Chris says pointing to the rope securing us to the dock. And we're off, as we make our way down the Hudson River towards Upper Bay I head to the front of the boat singing "I'm on a boat, I'm on a boat, everybody looks at me cause I'm sailing on a boat!"
Noah looks at me with a scared look.
"What!? You know you love it" I say raising my eyebrows.
"Take a good hard look at the motherf@#ken boat," sings Noah.
"Haha, soul mates!" I shout.
He smiles at me and when we reach the very front we stand there with his arms wrapped around me.
I turn my head to look up at him.
"You know what we have to do now, don't you?
"I was afraid this was going to happen."
We stand in front of the rail, it's not quite the same as a normal boat, but it will do.
I grab his hands and put our arms out.
"Jack, I'm flying!" I say.
We stand like this for a few minutes then Noah wraps his arms around me again and whispers in my ear,
"I remember when you made me watch that god awful movie in your dorm room."
"That was a very good visit if I recall correctly," I say.
"Damn straight! I hadn't seen you for four months, we had A LOT of catching up to do and making me watch that movie was pure torture!"
"I couldn't walk for a week after you left," I say jokingly.
"Maybe we should try to break our record," says Noah.
"I'm always up for a challenge," I reply.
Then he leans his head down to mine and kisses me, Leo and Kate styles at the front of the boat.
We then sit down and just watch all the amazing sights as we sail past.
We pass Ellis Island, then the Statue of Liberty.
All of a sudden a cool breeze blows past which makes me shiver, the next thing I know Noah has his arm around me and he's pulling me close to keep me warm.
As we keep on sailing through Upper Bay we see some cruise ships and the teardrop monument after that we pass under the Verrazzano-Narrows bridge through to Lower Bay and then out towards the open ocean."Come let's go have dinner."
With that Noah leads me back to the back of the boat and pulls a chair out for me.
"Thank you," I say.
"Plaisir mademoiselle," he replies.
I look up at him with a startled smile, he shrugs his shoulders,
"If it's important to you it's important to me."
God, I love this man so much!
I grab him by his jacket collar and pull him down for a French kiss to mark the occasion.
A minute later he breaks contact.
"If we keep going like this we are never going to eat and Claude has gone to a lot of trouble cooking for us."
"There's a chef on board too?"
"How else were we going to get our three-course meal?"
Noah sits opposite me and we enjoy a French-inspired meal finished off with a cheese board and more wine.
"You've outdone yourself tonight Noah, definitely a keeper, me thinks."
"It's not over yet."
He then grabs our wine and leads me to a cushioned seat at the very back of the boat where we snuggle up for the evening as the sunsets.
It's been a long day and I start to get sleepy in his warm embrace.
The next thing I know Noah is picking me up and he carries me along a small jetty toward a beautiful little cottage right on the waterfront.
"Where are we?" I say in a sleepy voice.
"The Hamptons, this is ours for the night."
He carries me through the door and sets me down.
"This is beau--"
I'm cut off mid-sentence as Noah's lips crash onto mine forcing me to take a step back.
"God your beautiful Shelley, how did I get so lucky," he says against my lips.
Then I'm back in his arms again and he's carrying me towards the bedroom.
He frantically grabs at my clothes, pulling them off and tossing them to the floor between passionate kisses.
As I slowly remove his clothes he gets all impatient and takes over ripping them off too.
"I need you, NOW!" He says and pushes me gently back onto the bed.
Before I know it, we are a mess of sweaty limbs, breathing hard.
"That was soo good," I say.
"Just finishing our date off with a bang," he says smiling at me and panting away.
"Well that was definitely a bang," I say laughing.
"I need water."
I get up and grab a drink of water and when I get back I go to put my underwear back on.
"Oh no, you don't."
Noah snatches my panties out of my hand, throws them across the room and pulls me back onto the bed.
"I'm not done with you yet," he says, then his lips find mine once more and down to my throat. I'm going to be very tired tomorrow, I think to myself and smile.
