The moment is completely ruined as a large group of ladies start giggling behind us. We both turn to see a young, robust woman coming toward us wearing a 'the bride' sash.
"Sorry to interrupt, but I have a list of challenges to do for my hens night and one of them is to get a kiss from a random stranger, so I thought you'd be perfect."
I bet she did!
He smiles at her with that gorgeous mouth of his.
"sure thing," he says.
Why do I get the feeling this happens to him a lot. One of the other girls holds up her phone to take a photo and Noah happily obliges and gives her a kiss on the cheek. The group start booing and one of them shouts,
"Come on! You can do better than that."
She looks completely sloshed, which I'm pretty sure they all are.So he grabs her face and lays one on the lips this time, lingering for a couple of seconds.
"That better?" he asks.
Then another chick yells back,
"We'll take it!"
And they all start giggling and cheering.I know it's all in fun but I find myself feeling a little jealous, wasn't that meant to be my kiss?
We end up talking to them for a little bit, turns out they're from Belgium and they fly back tomorrow for the wedding on Sunday. When they finally stagger off to complete their next challenge (tabletop dancing) I turn to Noah.
"It's late and I'm getting tired, shall we head back?"
He looks disappointed but the moment has passed and I just want to go to sleep. All these women throwing themselves at him is tiring. We head back to our hotel and crash. Our last day in Nice was pretty relaxed. When we woke up it was a little awkward, but all was soon forgotten. I went to my last meeting, we then walked around the main city to do a bit of sightseeing, buy souvenirs and of course some wine.
I always take the allowed limit back with me, it would be just plain wrong if I didn't, plus I managed to get Noah to bring some in his bag too, bonus!
Then we headed to the airport and got on a plane back to London.I'm quite excited about Noah meeting my flatmates. They know ALL about him, I just hope they don't embarrass me. That seems to be their favourite past time, see how much they can make Elle squirm!
Being Friday evening they will have finished work and are no doubt waiting for our imminent arrival with great anticipation. As I open the front door Renee runs up to me screaming like some crazy weirdo.
"Finally! So where is this hunky stallion then?"
She gives me a wink, reminding me of our conversation about bad teeth guy. Ick! I gag a little at the memory.Noah steps through the door clears his throat and gives her one sexy ass smile before saying,
"I assume you're referring to me?"She shamelessly looks him up and down.
"Hmmm, very easy on the eye. Me likey!" she says while nodding.
"Down girl!" I say.
Let the embarrassment begin, I think to myself as I start the introductions."Renee this is Noah Flynn."
"I can't believe I'm meeting thee sex god and man whore in the flesh"
I inwardly groan, this is just painful!"Noah this is Renee Ridgeway my flatmate, best friend and total hussey. Oh and you may have already noticed, she has no filter."
"Enough with the flattery," she says with a ridiculous grin on her face still looking at Noah.I can tell he's trying not to laugh.
"Renee, move your big bum so we can get inside and have some dinner, I'm starving!"
"By all means," she says still looking at Noah and moves to the side of the narrow hallway so we both have to squeeze past.We head up to my room to drop our bags before dinner.
"She's....um....interesting," he says when we're safely in my room.
"You have no idea! But she's also pretty awesome."
"I don't doubt it," he says with a laugh."You can leave your things here if you want then after dinner I can make up the sofa bed in the living room."
"Aww no more sharing a bed then?" He raises his eyebrows and smirks at me.
"In your dreams Noah, in your dreams."
"Can't blame a guy for trying."We head back downstairs, I introduce him to A and J and we sit down to enjoy the dinner they've made.
As the night gets later and later I sit back and smile at the sight before me. They love Noah! We've all had a few glasses of wine and the conversation is loud and animated. He tells them about his work with the Giants and the star-studded parties he's been to. They tell him lots of embarrassing stories about me, like the time I walked around my office for half the day with the back of my dress stuck in my stockings and the fact that none of my co-workers bothered to tell me, but instead took bets on how long it would take me to realise.
Needless to say, I was not impressed, especially since it took me four freaking hours to notice.
I don't wear stockings anymore either. They're all laughing hysterically and even though they are laughing at me, I'm so happy right now.
We eventually talk about what we're going to do this weekend.
Noah hasn't really seen any of London so we've decided we're all going to show him the 'must-see' places first thing tomorrow and with that, we all call it a night.Noah comes and gets his stuff from my room and I get some sheets from the cupboard. We head back downstairs and I start making up the sofa bed.
"I really enjoyed tonight Shelley and your friends are really great."
"They are aren't they, they're the main reason I've stayed in London all these years."I haven't told Noah about my decision to move back home yet, I still haven't even said anything to my dad, but I'm thinking of announcing it to everyone at Lee's wedding. So I think I'll hold off with telling Noah and let it be a big surprise.
When I'm finished making the bed up I turn and notice him looking a little sad, he looks up at me and a second later he's back to his normal smiling self.
That was strange, I wonder if he's thinking about his Dad. Poor guy, I want to make sure he has a lot of fun with us this weekend, so he doesn't have time to be sad.I walk up to him, give him a kiss on the cheek and whisper in his ear
"Sweet dreams Noah."
