It was an unusually calm day at Tracy Island. Scott was on a rescue. Brains was inventing something. Grandma was cooking (unfortunately). Gordon was swimming. Virgil was playing the piano. Alan and Kayo were playing video games.
"Die, suckers!!!" Kayo screamed.
Alan laughed. "Kayo Kyrano immersed in a zombie computer game. Never thought I'd see the day."
Kayo punched his shoulder. "Shut up."
Alan's smirk grew. "Make me."
Kayo raised an eyebrow. "By kissing you or karate kicking you?"
Alan's smirk served as her answer.
And so she leaned in and kissed him.

The sound of electronic beeping came from the computer screen and they broke apart reluctantly. Kayo searched for her game controller. Glancing at Alan, she found him smirking. She narrowed her eyes at him. "What did you do?"
Alan held up her game controller teasingly but seeing Kayo glaring threateningly at him, he passed it back to her.
"How did you get that?"
He smirked, enjoying this. "I may or may not have taken it off you while we were kissing?
Kayo's glare subsided and she pouted. "I hate you."
"You love me really."
"I'm not gonna bother denying it."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Scott had just returned to Tracy Island. Life had changed a lot since Alan and Kayo had started dating and he was still trying to get used to it. Admittedly, at one point, he'd had a slight crush on Kayo (although never as serious as Alan's) so seeing her dating his youngest brother was... weird to say the least. But they were both deliriously happy and he would hate to ruin that.
For some reason, his mind strayed to Marion Van Arkel, the girl who'd been on his mind from the second they met. He'd found her a job with the GDF. He hoped she was happy.
He hoped she was alright.
Quite a bit changed in this chapter... more Kalan fluff and more of Scott's feelings.
I'm enjoying this editing thing!
