A/N As the title suggests, this chapter is a bit dark. It's not that bad, there is a reference to torture though. Should this deserve a warning? Oh well. Don't like, don't read. Simple.
Marion woke up in chains. She struggled to remember how she'd gotten there. She'd been on the phone with Ridley O'Bannon, her best friend at the GDF, when two figures had burst into the room. She recognised them instantly. The Chaos Crew. She'd told Ridley what was happening, put the phone down, and tried to hold the Chaos Crew off. She knew what they wanted: The prototype Hydrogen 4 explosives that she'd invented the other day, so she figured she'd better keep them away. But as she'd been fighting Havoc, Fuse shoved something in her face. She remembered smelling some weird gas before she fell to the floor. And that's the last thing she remembered
A cold chill ran down Marion's spine. She'd been kidnapped.
A door at the far end of the cell openned. Marion watched in horror as a familiar figure walked through.
The Hood.
Marion gulped. She'd had a run in with the Hood before she'd joined the GDF. At that time, the Hood wanted to buy a shed-load of uranium from her family's mine. International Rescue had convinced her not to sell it to him and instead they'd sent him an old burger box. She doubted he'd forgotten about that incident.
Th Hood smirked as he approached her. That sight alone was enough for Marion to know there was trouble coming.
"So, Marion Van Arkel isn't it?" The Hood spoke in a frighteningly calm voice as he towered over her. "I remember you. That uranium mine in South Africa, wasn't it? Such good friends we were back then."
Marion stiffened. "If by 'friends' you mean another person you were willing to take advantage of and weren't above blackmailing into doing your bidding?"
The Hood chuckled mercilessly. "Well, you seem to be doing alright now. Working for the GDF are we? You're really going places with your life."
Marion stiffened. "I know what you want. And you're not getting them."
The Hood smirked. "You mean your all-new explosives? What's to say I haven't already got them?"
Marion gulped. "The explosives can only be activated by a member of my team."
"Which is why I have you here. Don't worry, I'll let you go." The Hood was now unsettlingly close to her. "As soon as you co-opperate."
"I will never!" Marion growled.
The Hood shrugged. "Very well then. The choice is yours. Havoc, come here and guard her for a while. Feel free to use some light torture to tempt her to join our cause."
Marion could hear him laughing manically as he left. She slumped against the wall. She was in serious trouble.I haven't changed this chapter at all, but it's probably one of my favourite ones.
