Everyone Is Expendable Chapter 9

The guard and the driver are sitting in chairs in Bang Si-hyuk's office with Manager Seijin sitting on a sofa in the office.

"HOW THE HELL DID THIS HAPPEN!?!" Bang PD-nim is yelling at them.

"Sir, it was a set up. We were rear-ended at a stop light and when we pulled the van over Taewon got out. I stayed in the van. I was looking in the side-view mirror when I saw him drop to the ground. I told Jimin and Jungkook to stay in the van and then I got out and locked it with them in it. I walked to the back and just as I got back there I was ambushed and tazed. The culpret got the key fob from Taewon and got in the van and took off with them." the guard says.

"Yes, sir that is exactly what happened." Taewon says.

"Jesus Christ, my boys are out there and no one knows where. Worst yet is that whoever has them is probably Jimin's stalker. Have we heard anything from Seoul or Osaka about who this might be?" PD-nim looks at Seijin.

"Sir, they are working on it but they have no leads."

"This is down-time for the group but we have got to find them and quickly. Has Seoul PD been notified?"

"Yes, sir they have. We are also working with them to keep this out of the press but people did see things. They just don't know what they saw because there were reports of what happened called into Seoul PD. We checked into the owner of the car and it was reported as stolen out of Gwanju." Seijin says.

"Well lets keep it that way for now. It would absolutely throw the fandom into panic if we report that the main vocalist and main dancer/vocalist are missing. How about the boys themselves have you talked to them?" PD-nim asks.

"No, not at this time. I wasn't sure if you would want to talk to them yourself being as they see you as a father-figure." Seijin says.

"Humh, yes, well maybe I should be the one that tells them. Taewon, I will not hold you responsible for your actions. You acted as anyone would have in the circumstances and you were injured in the process. You may leave and I will give you 4 days off with pay to recover from the trauma. Is that sufficient?"

"Yes, more than generous PD-nim. I am truly sorry and I do take responsibility for what happened today. I hope we can get them back quickly." Taewon says.

"Well you're dismissed." PD-nim says.

Taewon gets up and exits the office. The boys guard is sitting in his chair with his head down and his hands in his lap. He feels he has total responsibility for what happened to Jimin and Jungkook and he is deeply disturbed he allowed them to be taken on his watch. He lifts his head after Taewon leaves the office.

"Sir, PD-nim, I offer my sincerest apology for letting you and BTS down. I should never have gotten out of the car and I should have called Seoul PD immediately and driven off with the boys myself and they would be safe now."

"We can sit here and say what we would have done differently but that won't bring Jimin and Jungkook back. I don't really know how to respond to your actions. On the one hand they are understandable but on the other I feel you let me down, Jimin and Jungkook down and BTS down. I can't imagine that this is a proud moment for you." PD-nim says.

"Sir, it is not, but I will do the best I can to help get them back and I will cooperate fully with the investigations. Is there anything else you would like me to do?" the guard asks.

"No, not at this time. Keep your phone on at all times and by your side as I may contact you at anytime. Is that clear?" PD-nim asks

"Yes, sir, it is."
