Band of Brothers Chapter 17

It's been three days since Jimin and Jungkook have disappeared. The members are just as worried today as they were the day they heard they had been kidnapped. Taehyung has had to be just about forcibly made to do the things he has needed to do with help, love and guidance of Hoseok. If Tae was given his druthers he would never get off Jimin's bed until they were both home safe and sound. The problem was none of them had any idea of the hell that Jimin and Jungkook were going through. Had any of them known the extent of damage Jimin and Jungkook were being put through it would have destroyed them all.

They had no idea of what had just happened to Jimin and how violated he had just been. They had no idea that Jungkook was wishing for his death thinking he had just watched Jimin give himself to another not realizing it's his sleep and food deprived mind playing cruel tricks and he only believes that Jimin seeing him was a sad vision. They had no idea that right now Jimin was handcuffed semi naked to a bed while Jungkook had nothing but a rotten mattress and dank thin blanket for a bed. They had no idea that Jimin has mentally checked out while Jungkook is living a mental hell. What they wanted to know was when their brother's would be back home but answers never came. They didn't come yesterday or the day before but every day they prayed together that today the answers would come.

While there were no solid leads there did come some information. Seijin gathered the members in the living room on the third day to provide them with what Seoul and Osaka PD had managed to come up with. Those boys couldn't get to the living room fast enough when Seijin walked in the dorm. The boys seated themselves and Seijin began:

"Well I've gotten some information back from Osaka and Seoul. We just hope they will turn into some leads that will get Jimin and Jungkook back soon. First, here and in Osaka the police were able to find out that the man seen purchasing the gifts for Jimin and involved in the rear end collision the day of their disappearance is the same man. However, they still have yet to locate him. Everyone who has come in contact with this gentleman all state that while he was polite he appeared out of place. His clothing either looked worn or expensive but ill-fitting. He spoke very little or not at all and used only cash for all of the purchases including the watch that Jimin returned which was valued at over $67 million won ($60,000 USD)."

"Jesus Christ!!!" Namjoon blurts out.

Seijin continues as they boys listen without further interruption.

"They believe he is an aide to whoever is behind the kidnappings. He only follows orders. Seoul PD did get several reports from witnesses of the accident who also happened to see Taewon and the guard tased but they were not able to offer anything further other than to corroborate the same information on the driver and the aide. As far as the damage to Jungkook's room at the hotel in Osaka after the police investigated there they found that a master key had been missing from a housekeeping cart. This is how they believe someone was able to get into his room and destroy everything Jungkook had. They aren't sure if it was the same older man or other workers for whoever this person is. Osaka PD was not able to recover fingerprints from either Jimin and Jungkook's rooms. So whoever had access to those two rooms used gloves and was very thorough in not leaving any traces of themselves.

The boys look at each other just astounded at this information. Namjoon asks:

"Was there any information returned on that letter I gave you, Seijin-nim?"

"At this time? No. We are checking into information regarding Seungri. He has not been available at his local address and some of his band members say who may have gone back home to Masan. Seoul PD hasn't sent anyone there yet but they intend on it as soon as they get a stronger lead against this letter. They are trying to find examples of Seungri's writing to compare it to for matching."

"What letter are you talking about Seijin-nim?" Taehyung asks.

Seijin was unaware that some of the members did not know about the letter so to answer Tae's question it had to be done delicately.

"Well a letter had been found among Jimin's clothes that managed to get through security. I believe Jimin had it so he could turn it in to the police but he was kidnapped before he got the chance."

"Well what did the letter say?" Taehyung presses.

"Tae, I really don't think it's important what the letter said at this point. As you have been so affected by their disappearance I'm not going to disclose its contents. Those that found it are aware and if they choose to tell you that is on them but frankly, it serves you no purpose knowing."

Taehyung is frustrated and huffs his exasperation.

"Just know that forensic officers are looking over it thoroughly to find clues to the identity of the writer but we do believe the writer of the letter and the kidnapper are one and the same." says Seijin.

"What about our van? Has anyone found our van?" Jin asks.

"No. The van still has not been recovered. At this point we don't think it would hold anymore clues to getting Jimin and Jungkook back and Seoul PD thinks it has probably been destroyed or dumped someplace far enough away to remain unfound for many years."

"So right now the strongest clues we have to figuring out who this person could be is the letter and finding Seungri?" asks Yoongi.

"Yes. Seoul PD did talk to some of the members of Big Bang regarding Seungri and they were able to offer some interesting pieces of information but again nothing conclusive. A couple of the members remembered the Christmas show that Hoseok brought to your attention and they all had good things to say about meeting you boys then and since. They all definitely remember meeting Jimin and were quite impressed with his genuine sweetness. They all agreed he was quite handsome. They, also remember Jungkook. They thought he was quite funny and cute. Two of the members privately stated that they felt there was something between Jimin and Jungkook but didn't say anything further. They just happened to think it was kind of cute how Jungkook followed Jimin around then. Two other members remember when Jimin left that Seungri seemed extremely enamored of Jimin. At the Christmas show he almost couldn't stop talking about him. How cute he was. How amazing a dancer he was. What a wonderful singer he was but they also say Seungri seemed almost jealous of Jungkook. One of the members stated Seungri made the comment about 'why does Jimin let that gangly puppy dog follow him around?' They all never thought much about Seungri or his infatuation with Jimin at that point. They did think it a bit odd considering he was dating a singer from Girls Generation at the time. Right now Seoul is trying to track him down. He has sort of disappeared himself but they are trying to find him to bring him in for questioning."

"Wow! That is quite a bit of new information Seijin-nim. Thank you." Hoseok says.

Taehyung is curled up in a chair holding Yeontan tightly. Nervous and upset. Just wondering when Jimin and Jungkook will be home. Yes, it is a lot of information but his brothers are still missing.

"So what's next Seijin-nim?" Taehyung asks hopefully.

"Well, I'm not sure. The police are still investigating the information. They said they would head to Masan if the letter proves to have been written by Seungri. I'm sorry that it is all just a waiting game but I felt you deserved to know what had been discovered so far." Seijin says.

"Well we really appreciate you telling us what is going on. We really miss them and can't wait for them to be back home. This has been a very difficult time for us. " Jin says.

"Yes, I suppose it has." says Seijin as he looks over at Taehyung who is just sitting in the chair looking off into a distance.

The five members all look over to Taehyung with sad eyes. They all have provided comfort in different ways. Hoseok has crawled into bed with Taehyung to hold him while he quietly cries. No one can ever understand the unique bond that all seven have with each other. Their bond as a group is strong and loving. Their bonds with each other are unique, independent, and loving,
