Chapter 12
1 year later
It's been about a year. I haven’t heard from mom but Mama said not to worry. Mama also went to rehab for 8 months and she’s been 14 months sober. I stayed with Grandma and Grandpa while she was gone. I got to go to real school and it was amazing I made actual friends too and that was the best thing ever. Mama wanted to take a break from the entertainment world so we sold the house in California and moved to Miami.
“Jaliyah your friends are here.” Mama said coming in the room.
“I didn’t invite anyone over.” I said
“You didn’t have to.” A small voice said. I looked and seen Chloe. She wasn’t as small anymore actually. “Hi.” She said and I was about to break down. I got off my bed and went over and hugged her.
“I missed you Chlo.” I said
“I missed you too.”
“How did you get here. How’d you know we moved.
“I’ve been keeping in contact with them.” Mama said.
“My therapist said that keeping my relationship with Chloe high. So I put my feelings towards Camila aside and contacted her.” Mama said.
“Oh. That’s nice of you.” I said. I’m kinda upset mama made an effort then why didn’t mom? Maybe I shouldn’t have believed her. She didn’t really care.

We went shopping mainly for Chloe because I didn’t need anything else and went out for dinner.
“Where is mom anyways?” I asked Chloe it was a along time coming for that question.
“Taylor and Charlie are planning her bachelorette party since the wedding is less than 2 weeks away. Mom has more planning so she agreed to let me stay for a week.” She explained I looked at mama as a silent question to see if we were invited to the wedding but she just shook her head. Yeah didn’t think so
