Jaliyah POV
Chapter 15

    “Jaliyah! Jaliyah wake up it's christmas!” Chloe yelled in my ear. This is the first christmas in a long time we’ve spent together. Usually I wake up close to noon and mama is making breakfast. I turned and looked at my phone. It was just turning 7am. “Come on their are probably a bunch of presents under the tree.” Mama and mom didn’t fill our heads with the fantasy of Santa since we were children left for the dead and didn’t want us to see them as liars you know. I groaned because it was barley 7am and she was waking me up.

“Chloe okay okay. Calm down.” I said. She was in my face and I can tell she hasn’t brushed her teeth yet. “Go brush your teeth then we can wake them up okay.” I said and she hopped off the bed and ran towards her bathroom. I said up on my bed. This is really it. 2 years later and I get my family back. I get up and brush my own teeth before I forget.

“I’m done now let's go wake them up. It’s our first christmas together in a long time.” She said and I followed her she jumped on mama’s side of the bed and I jumped on mom's side.

“It’s Christmas!” we yelled.

“Ugh I hadn’t heard that in a long time. Let alone be woken up this early on christmas.” Mama said

“Really it’s been every year for me.” Camila said waking up and hugging me.

“Merry Christmas Jaliyah.” She said. She makes it a point to always be involved with me now. Always giving hugs and kisses. She basically spoils me especially when I want ice cream before dinner and mama says no.

“Merry christmas mom.” I said back kissing her cheek.
“Where’s my kiss at?” Mama said hiding Chloe under the blanket.

“No kiss until we atleast open 1 present.” Chloe said.

“No presents until I get my kiss.” She argued back. I went over and gave her our morning kiss and she held me next to her. “See Jaliyah gave me a kiss.” It's a family thing. We give kisses every morning now because we never know when it’s the last 1. It’s like saying I love you without saying it. She finally got up and gave them both a kiss.

“There now presents?” She said and they laughed. Mom picked up chloe and we walked down to the living room.

“You guys went a little overboard this year.” I said seeing the presents flood our living room.

“Um they are not all for you or did you forget our parents, sofi, Chris and Taylor are coming soon too?” Sofi is Camila’s little sister who is 12 so right in between our ages. She closes the gap enough that we all have a fun time together. Then the doorbell goes off. “Speaking of.” Mom said walking towards the front door.

“CAMI!” We heard a little girl yell. It was sofi.

“Hey Camila it’s been a while.” I heard Taylors voice. We all eventually made our way towards the front door and both families were making their way inside grandparents having presents in their hand as well. I gave them all hugs and mama took the presents to the living room.

“Okay everyone is here now can we please open presents.” Chloe said impatiently and Sofi nodded in agreement.

“Fine lets go.”

After boxes and wrapping paper all over the place it was time to clean the mess. Mom noticed one more box but it had no name.

“Lo? Who’s this for?” She asked and mama looked at the box then looked at taylor and chris and nodded and they got up and went to the piano and guitar in the living room. What is going on.

“Open it it's yours.” She said walking towards her. She opened it and it was a ring.

“Lo-” She started to say but quickly stopped when she realized what was happening. Mama is proposing again. Last time it was on new years.

“Camila i promised myself a long time ago I wouldn’t fall in love because I seen what it did to people around me, then X Factor happened and Fifth Harmony happened and basically you just my view on love. Next thing I know a few years later we adopted the cutest little 6 year old ever.” She said and look at Chloe. “Then we decided to adopt again. The most mature 10 year old I have ever met.” She said then she looked at me and smiled. “We had a family. Then you left, I entered a terrible place and I swore I wouldn’t let someone control my feelings like that. Then once again you showed up again. Then you kissed me and all the feelings came back and something felt right. You’ve been a risk to me my entire time knowing you. I don’t regret anything. Karla Camila Cabello Estrabao. Will you be the thing I need. My lover and keep our family together by marrying me?” She asked. Mom was crying. Chris and Taylor were playing this extremely soft melody and mom just nodded not being able to speak. She put her hands on both sides of mama’s face and they kissed. When they were done Chloe and I ran towards them. Everyone saying congrats. My family was going to be whole.
