I slammed the dusty volume on to the table in frustration. Kora gave me a look. I ignored her, scribbling furiously in my spiral notebook.
Arra Rus
Why did he sound so familiar? I don't even know him, and yet, he gives me an uneasy feeling in the pit of my gut.
Closing the large book, I placed it back on its shelf before picking up my things. Kora looked up, her dark hair falling from behind her ear.
"Going so soon?" She asked, scribbling something down in her notebook. I nodded, "Yeah, text me if you find anything?" I held up my phone, which she nodded to. "Yeah. See you tomorrow." And her attention returned to the dusty volume she was reading. I wrinkled my nose. Books are great, but this library needed to get an air freshener, it smelled like someone died.
Walking through the double doors of the large building, I looked around. No sign of anyone coming or going. I smiled to myself, walking to the nearest Cota Bus stop.
The ride home was uneventful, just a couple drunks trying to get free rides. I rolled my eyes at them, giving my seat to an older man without a second thought. Now standing, I looked at my phone.

Saige where are you?!?
I smiled to myself. Katy is such a good friend. I texted back, telling her my location. She replied quickly.

They found another body.
I stared at my phone, my blood becoming ice.
Another body?
I couldn't believe it. If they found another, this was surely a serial killer on the loose.
Nervously, I texted Katy back.

Who?
Her reply sent chills down my spine.

Mark Alison
My heart pounded in my chest. I knew it. I knew the body had been Mark Alison, a Freshman at Sinto as well. He was the only freshman on the Football team, something that got him respect from upper classmates. I hadn't really liked him much, but no one deserved what happened to him. It made my blood boil to think some sicko would do something like this. The uneasy feeling from before settled in my gut once more, making my blood go from boiling hot to ice cold.
My stop came up, the bus slowing. When it stopped, I got off, dazed.
Arra Rus. I had to find him.
When I reached my house, I opened the door and was met with my dog, Chloe. She jumped on me, almost knocking me down because of my slow reflexes. "Woah, girl!" I said, pushing her off me. I dropped my bag on the floor by my sister's. Heading upstairs, I said my hellos to everyone.
I shut my door, opening my laptop. I quickly searched Arra Rus, the results rewarding.
His location, not so much.
He's in jail for drug possession.
I sighed, texting Kora. I then made a few calls to the Police Department that was holding him. With a few lies and some begging, the officer on duty agreed that me and one guest could come and speak with Arra Rus for 'educational purposes'.
It was finally going to happen. We were gonna get some answers.
