Partner shuffling 101

Mitsuru POV
I dont really feel good. No matter, I still have to push through. That damn Hiro thought he was something. Right when he leaves his sister comes, ridiculous.
Time skip brought by Zero Two feeding (Y/N)

(Y/N POV)
"Watch yourself Zorome." I say. "Yeah yeah I got it thank though." He says. "Darling" I hear Two say. "Whats the matter Two?" "More Klaxosaurs are coming." "Ok." "You guys catch that?" I say. Everyone responds except for Mitsuru. Then suddenly the franxx stops. "HEY MITSURU YOU OK?" I yell. I can hear him breathing hard.

"Whats wrong with him?" Kokoro asks. "Hmm I dont know maybe him being a jerk finally got to him." Zorome says with a smirk and I join in. So Mitsuru was part of the experiment in the garden hm Nana thinks. "You're just suffering from children fever. You'll make a recovery." Nana says as she walks out. Hopefully.  "I hope he'll be ok." Goro says. "Only time will tell guys." I say. "So lets call it." They all nod.

Mitsuru POV
I feel terrible. This is all his fault. That damned Hiro. Always thinking he was better than everyone. I will survive and prove him wrong.

Time goes by....
"Mitsuru and Ikuno arent in sync anymore." Nana says. I simply shake my head. " So I suggest a partner switch." She continues. I look around and everyone seems uneasy. "I'll volunte- I hear (Y/N) say and I see Zero Two give her a look that makes her shake and put her hand down. " Nana." Ikuno says. "I request to try and sync with Ichigo if thats ok." "Why not if Zero Two and (Y/N) can its a possibility you two can as well." Nana says. I scoff and walk away. After a while Ichigo and Ikuno come back after they conducted their trial. "So" I asked Ikuno. She cuts me off. "You already know the results. I dont know how Zero Two and (Y/N) are compadable but they are. Make sure you get yourself together." She finishes and walks off.  "ANDDDD we're back at square one again." Zorome sighs. The whole room is quiet until "I volunteer to be Mitsuru's partner." I look up to see Kokoro with her hand up. "Huh?" I say. "I volunteer to be your partner." She repeats herself. "BUT KOKORO YOU PROMISED WE'D BE TOGETHER FOREVER!" Futoshi yelled. "I know but Mitsuru needs a partner. You can partner up with Ikuno, Futoshi." She said sweetly. Futoshi only sighed. "Whatever I say as I walk away.

(Y/N POV)
"So it's settled. From here on this will be the new partner line up." I say. "But Kokoro.." and with that Futoshi gets up and runs out crying. "LOOK AT WHAT YOU DID!" Zorome yells. "WHAT I DIDNT TELL HIM TO GO CRY?" I argue back. "Enough of your nonsense we got trouble." Nana says. Yes ma'am we all replied and got suited up. I found Futoshi crying by his franxx. "Come on Futoshi dont cry. Its ok." I try to comfort him. "Yeah fat ass lets go." I hear Zorome say. "Its not Mitsuru im worried about." Futoshi says. "Its Kokoro." He continues. Before I can say anything else Ichigo commands us to ready up and we disperse. We go straight at the Klaxosaurs full force.

Time skip...
"Damn I'm tired." I say. "Keep pushing darling." Zero Two says. With everyone going all out we're all worn until I noticed Mitsuru and Kokoro drop. "WHATS GOING ON IN THERE??"

(Mitsuru POV)
"I cant do it. Im physically worn out and im not strong enough." I say. "WHY COULD'NT I BE STRONGER." "Mitsuru calm down please." I hear a sweet voice. Its Kokoro. "We're partners now so if you can't take the lead then... I WILL!" She yells and with that she tries to power the franxx herself. "Kokoro stop." I whisper. "Please stop." Then I hear a angry Futoshi. "HELP HER MITSURU!" And i snap out of it. "You're right we are partners so lets do this together." "LETS GO KOKORO!" I scream.

(Y/N POV)
I noticed Mitsuru and Kokoro's franxx power back on and Futoshi was helping. "Darling let's finish this." Zero Two says. Me and Zorome take out the last of the Klaxosaurs. When we get back I noticed Mitsuru was panting hard and was covered in blood. Then Futoshi walks by me and he looks pissed. "Futoshi wai-   That wasn't enough because he brushes right past me.

(Futoshi POV)
That jerk. "MITSURU!" I yelled as I punched him. " WHY DID YOU DO THAT TO KOKORO YOU JERK. YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO PROTECT HER." Mitsuru whispers something. "What?" I say. "Im sorry." He says. "I promise I'll protect her from now on." "You better." I say as I walk away.  As I continue to walk away I notice (Y/N) call me over. " Good job handling that Futoshi." She smiles.  I sigh and smile.  "Thank you." And I continue to walk off.

(Y/N POV)
I smile as Futoshi walks away. Then something taps my shoulder. I turn as something soft and warm lands on my lips. Two is kissing me. She wraps her arms around my neck as I grab her waist and pull her closer. She breaks the kiss and starts to kiss my neck and I moan softly. "What are you doing to me?" I pant. I couldn't deal with the feeling anymore so I push her off. She simply smirks at me and walks away. What the hell

(Ichigo POV)
That damned monster. I'll save you (Y/N) I promise.
