THE JONES' CASE BECAME WORSE AS ANOTHER YEAR WENT, WELL, IT ENDED HORRIBLY FOR THE DECEASED AND ALIVE. After a trial had been conducted for the discovery of new evidence for motivation on Donovan's part, everyone saw the Jones' in a new light. They had seen Vera as the horrific victim, Donovan as the monster of the story, and Sage as the freak baby of the two.
Yes, she didn't have much say or action in the conversation but once a family member is labeled a monster, it practically sticks to you. With being the girl without parents, she was labeled as 'damaged, weak, a freak' all while sticking with herself for her younger years. She was only four years old but deciding to usually be by all her lonesome was quite the choice.
As of now, the orphanage had been hosting a charity event of sorts. One of the most prestigious house-held names in Hemlock Grove, the Godfreys, supported it. J.R. Godfrey and his wife, Olivia Godfrey had donated a generous sum of money that was surely no big deal to them.
The Orphanage had been decorated to high hell with flyers, banners, and other things of a festive manner. Parents and kids that were part of the community had come in support of the charity and in doing so practically most of the kids played with one another while the parents talked about the future events of the establishment.
Although, Sage had sat at a kiddy table that she continued to draw on. She didn't care for talking or playing with the others seeing as interest her in any way. After all, they opted for calling her a 'freak' so she essentially didn't bother. By now, some of her short brunette hair reached down to the midway of her back, usually in a ponytail.
She stuck to drawing and coloring on the table, having done it for the past thirty minutes. She was engrossed in it so much she didn't hear the large doors open to reveal the family of the hour.
JR, Olivia, and their four-year-old son, Roman entered the building and were soon engulfed by the attention of almost everyone. Just about half of the kids and parents hurried to where they are, wanting to ask questions or get a picture. Roman looked around as he was surrounded.
For a few moments, he had been just standing there as he listened to his parents talk to everyone else. A few other kids tried talking to him but he aptly brushed past them as he ventured elsewhere, no one's attention on him.
He had run over to one of the very tables to see a brunette minding her own business, drawing on a table. He slowed down for a second so not to crash into her.
