SAGE NEVER DID CRITICIZE ROMAN FOR WHAT HE DID UNLIKE EVERYONE ELSE, MOST OF THE TIME. He did many things that didn't make sense or have any logical value. She had to admit she was weird and simply illogical when it came down to it but Roman was probably more abnormal in comparison. And now of all times, that seemed quite clear.
As it was the day before another mundane school school semester, she found herself treating herself to yet another delicious meal at her favorite diner. And not much to her surprise, she had found Roman indulging his seemingly constant need for sex and surprisingly, blood. For as long as they knew each other, his fascination with blood had been some unspoken fact between them. He tried to hide it and she teased him about it with every chance she got.
With her being a mythology and supernatural freak, she always joked about it saying he was like some modern day vampire. Although, instead of wanting other's blood, he seemed to edge himself on by cutting himself. Not in any permanently damaging way but more like giving himself a prick to the finger, reveling in the feel of the blood which was, admittedly strange. And what she found stranger but not uncommon for the Godfrey boy was how he would revel in that while apparently fucking some girl.
She watched as he & some ditzy girl she saw around go to what she presumed as her car which was common and disgusting in a way. As for the act itself, she was used to Roman sleeping with random girls all around. It didn't faze her that much. Her feelings didn't matter to her a lot, especially when it involved Roman Godfrey. She pushed her feelings down and put on the smirking & chill facade. It had been her common behavior since she was a child. Nonetheless, it was slightly bothersome, considering. Brushing it off, the Jones' girl decided to head off to the place Victoria & Jacob said they would be.
As she arrived at at some spot in the woods that they used to hang around when they were children, she saw a moving truck whisk itself down the wobbly road. She raised an eyebrow at the obvious hint of a new resident but wondered why they would even pick in the woods of the city town, of you will.
Walking away, the curiosity became stuck in the back of her mind. She stuffed it back there as she arrived at her usual spot that involved Jacob & Victoria's antics.
"Jones! Finally!" Jacob exasperated, getting up from his spot on some tree trunk.
"Sorry, I don't have a car or the impatience of a toddler" she sarcastically spoke.
"Oh, take your time, grandma!" Victoria chuckled, swinging one leg over the other.
"Anyways — what are we doing here, exactly? I didn't think you guys would wanna spend the last day of summer in the woods where everyone is usually murdered."
"Not everyone. But we do have two reasons, Sage."
"One, it's our hang out spot! Two, it's —"
"There's a new kid, moving in a little ways around here" Victoria interrupts, a smirk plastered on her face.
"Yeah, saw a moving truck go past me on the way here. Don't know why the hell they'd even want to live here, much less in the damn woods."
"Maybe they're like traditional? Amish or some shit?"
"Who knows? How about we just lounge around in our last day of freedom?"
"Might as well" she muttered, soon following the two deeper into the woods.
