Chapter 3: "Alcohol for Heartaches"

Tzuyu's POV

It's a gloomy night, well at least for me. Only few stars shine.

We're at the rooftop celebrating something.

What? I don't know, well I know but I'm trying to deny myself the sad truth/

We just finished our dinner that Sana, Nayeon eonnie and Jihyo eonnie prepared for tonight's celebration.

It's only past 8. We went straight here at the roof that Jeongyeon, Chaeng and I cleaned.

There's Beers, chips, pizza and of course Music. All set.

Everyone's partying. They are all happy for Saida.

Of course I am too, I tried to party and share a laugh with them. Trying my very best to be happy for my best friend. But I slowly backed away trying to save myself from heartache, seeing Sana and Dahyun cuddling, laughing, and worse stealing kisses from each other.

"I could use more drinks for my internal wounds.: I thought to myself.

I know I'm only 19 years old to drink this, but oh whatever.

I am now sitting near the gutter staring at the stars drinking my 4th beer. I'm not drunk yet.

I don't even feel anything. I'm starting to question this beers quality.

Then Chaeyoung came and tried to talk to me

"You alright Tzuyu?"

"Huh?" I gave her a quizzical look mostly because I didn't hear her

"I'm asking if you're alright. You're zoning out again."

"I'm alright Chaeng. Thanks for asking." I gave her a polite smile then drink my beer.

I think she noticed that I left the group earlier and made a world of my own.

Jeongyeon eonnie came out of nowhere.

"You two! What are you doing?" Jeonyeon asked

I asked if she's drunk already..

Chaeyoung gave me the look that's saying. No she's not drunk she's just weird.

"Well as you can see, we're doing nothing, just staring blankly at the stars. Ask Yoda, she's the one zoning out before I came and save her from drowning on her own thoughts." Chaeyoung said bluntly

Jeongyeon looked at me as If studying something

"Ha! I can see and smell something" Jeongyeon said still trying to study my every move.

"What is in your mind again Jeongyeon eonnie?"

"I'm not blind Yoda" She said. Now, with a serious tone.

"I know you're not. Who says that you're blind anyways? Maybe Crazy but not blind." I said trying to lighten up the mood.

I know Jeongyeon eonnie, I know that tone. Her serious voice. Since this morning when she barged into my room asking for help to clean the rooftop with JIhyo. I know she's watching my every move trying to fish out something from me but I didn't give in. Instead I just laugh at her, trying to look like I'm on a good mood.

"Ohyo ohyo Tzu. You are never a good joker so stop." She said now smiling

"Just give me a chance, I can only joke sometimes, not unlike your jokes that are so corny." I said making fun of her.

Then Chaeyoung stood up and walked away.

"What's her problem? Aigoo, it's your fault, Tzuyu. Your jokes are so lame. Hahahaha"

Then Chaeyoung came back, she just get some 10 canned beers.

"Oh? You have a problem Chaeyoung?" I asked pointing out her 10 canned beers.

"I don't. But you have" She said then bluntly handing me a beer.

"Hahahaha. Chaeng, you're so smart. Now you don't have escape from us." Jeonyeon eonnie said then made a high-five with Chaeyoung.

"Now we've cornered you. Spill." Chaeyoung said drinking her beer and handing one for to the older member with us.

"Spill what?" I said trying to look innocent as I can be."

"Oh Please Tzuyu, we know you have something on your chest that you want to let it out." Jeongyeon said while looking at me straight to my eyes.

"Hahaha you idiots. You two are trying to fish out some gossip."

"No Tzuyu, we're trying to help" Said Chaeyoung.

I can see Sana heading towards our direction so I shushed Chaeyoung and Jeonyeon eonnie for a while I know they won't stop asking.

Sana approached with her arms crossed and creased eyebrows.

"Oh. Looks like you guys had a lot." Pointing out the beer can in front of us.

"Ahh. No, we're just having fun. Don't worry Sana, we can still control ourselves." Jeonyeon tried to save us three.

Then Sana called Nayeon eonnie

"Eonnie, your girlfriend, can you get her away from the maknaes? They're starting to be influenced by Jeongyeon Eonnie"

Naeyeon eonnie gave her girlfriend a serious look and Jeonyeon eonnie walked up to her love, whispering something, trying to explain her side. Then we saw Nayeon eonnie just nod and gave Jeongyeon eonnie a peck on her lips saying "Don't drink too much, okay? I'll sleep now."

"Yes baby. Don't lock the door." Jeonyeon eonnie winked at us and sticks her tongue to Sana.

"NAYEON EONNIE!!!" Sana shouted

"Let them be Sana, besides they don't do that always. Come on, you and Dahyun should sleep too."

Sana tried to make an eye contact but I just drink my beer and looked away.

"Tzu, don't drink too much, you didn't even eat earlier. And you had a meeting with JYP tomorrow right?" Sana sounds concerned.

"I can handle it, Sana eonnie. Don't worry. And our meeting is on the afternoon." I said avoiding her gaze.

"Okay." She said coldyly then walked away.

I stared at her back turned against me, walking away. Walking towards Dahyun's direction.

Dahyun caught me staring, gazing so she gave me a nod and smiled. Dahyun is a good friend of mine, like Sana, she's also my co-member. We never had a problem with each other. She's a genuine person always smiling and jolly.

I couldn't hate her even if I want to. She has always been good to all of us especially to Sana. Plus Sana loves her, if my best friend loves her. Then so do I.

I just stared at them holding each other's hands. Then I felt my eyes warmed up.

Tears almost fell, good thing I remember that I'm not alone here in the roof. Jeongyeon eonnie and Chaeyoung are sitting beside me.

I can't let them know. Not yet. I'm not ready to talk about my heartaches. I'm always good at disguising on my own pain. So why give in now and ruin everything. I think I can still hold my shit together for one night. Plus, I don't want them worrying about me again.

They gave me the understanding look as if reading my minds. They didn't ask me anything, they simply grabbed a beer and drink with me, we talked about other things. And I love them both for that. NoJamBros for life!
