The city has been divided into Democratic and Republican sides. Due to each side's massive influence, the school system eventually became involved. The students, our future, must be preserved no matter the cost. The students had to pick a side and come together to different schools to make a presentation. One side claimed we need to fight against corruption to end the cycle of hatred and despair. The other side claimed we need a stable and unjustified government that will do whatever is necessary to protect its citizens.
Once the vote and ballots came in, the Constitution died along with them. At this point, the only things that mattered were what we had left to stand for. So many people have died because of bad judgment and corruption. The loss was so great, that many feel that they can no longer trust the system in which they are trapped. The sad thing is, we once did but never again. The Constitution was the foundation for right and wrong, cause and effect, life and learn life and death.
These concepts have all come into play and have been pushed aside by our protectors. The outdated system now, more than ever, truly shows its real age. We still are being separated into groups instead of being seen as one. Brutality toward certain races is increasing. Abduction and experimentation are taking place.
The ideals this country was built upon were not perfect, but everything was still connected in some way. We all are being divided into sections now and those who don't agree with it are eliminated. The rules have changed and it is getting worse as time goes on. The citizens started to retaliate through mini riots that grow every day. They decided to start destroying anything related to the government like police precincts, banks, and stores.
The rioters began to be seen as public enemy number one and everyone connected to the riot became a target. What remained of the police force tried to stop them, but failed. Government officials did not want this to become a national crisis so they eventually decided to negotiate with them because it was almost the whole town involved in the riots. The government gave them a choice to either become fully involved with them or either live life without them. There was a lot of speaking for everyone and it seemed like they didn't want to be involved with the government anymore.
On judgment day, before the decision was made, a suitcase-sized, the radioactive bomb was detonated in the heart of the city. Thousands died that day and the few that survived were either lucky or had government protection. Among those select few were students and a teacher on their way to meet with the Commander-in-Chief about the topic. The meeting never occurred because their plane got hit by a missile that made them crash land on an unknown island. This is their story.
