Flashback, October 15, 2008.
"Everyone in this goddess forsaken city is going insane. The damn people are the only ones to blame. Some say one race is either being segregated or put on a pedestal. These movements have spread past the barrier walls of colors and race. Especially through their recent actions, have showed the true depth of darkness in which is portrayed within the government and power."
Veto, the head teacher, and old-time town hero, just walked into the faculty room. He came walking towards us all, "We need gun control laws being re-an-acting to stop these monsters."
Han, another fellow teacher, "In town hall where our forefathers made the law and justice system from a dream into a reality. How dare these fools do this kind of harm to history."
Lui, a biology teacher standing near the front door, "What if we're backed against a wall like these criminals out there fighting. They need to be stopped and controlled to fit this society and if it not, goodbye."
Cindy, the assistant principal of the school was sitting down, "For every person we save, there's likely to be a person we can't. Who are we to even to know the difference between the two. Nobody can be the goddess, no matter how hard they try."
Mr.Lucus, the principle slams the paper in his hand on the floor, "How do you keep the people, the public, the society wrong!!! And not expect the backlash from it!!! Listen, everyone, you sound like fucking children that are chasing empty sippy cups. Now I've heard enough out of all of you!!!"
Mr. Lucas then storms out of the room, most likely going back into the cafeteria. I go into my fourth-period class and realize something. There's not even a single child in school today, which is very odd. I walk into the cafeteria, and I see Carl and Shawn sitting down. I go to their table and take out a book and began reading.
Carl comes up behind me, "We're going to need you for this little trip. The children are being taken to a discrete location, nowhere near the president. Remember the objective Ms. Dino. Otherwise, you're dead."
I gasp, "Never did I think I'd be used as a pawn. Not a again. This is why I left the political spectrum alone. I hated being a government official for these exact reasons."
Tommy, the board of directors, grabbed me and took me to the principal's office, "Whenever someone ever rises up to help the citizens, they got assassinated and disowned."
I break away using some of my strength," You people aren't what I remember you as. We're supposed to protect the children not harm them and I believe there's a better way to handle this controversy the society is going through. These children are our future."
Mayor Fizard is coming towards me, "What are you? You're not even smart enough to see your own weakness. Which is why, you're a pawn in a much bigger game. Continue like you have been with no further interruptions or else."
I gulped a little, "Just what do you people want from me?"
Mayor Fizard pushed me out the room, "In due time Ms. Dino, in due time. Now have a great rest of your day."
I continued the rest of my day as regular as I could. Before going on the fake field trip, I had to go through an initiation. They took me to a secret room on the third floor. It was dark and mysterious symbols which gave me a weird feeling. Someone burned a tattoo on my neck within two seconds.
It hurt like hell, but I had no choice but to deal with it. I had a patch on my neck for a while until it was time to go on the field trip with the students. I had a weird feeling in my gut that I might not make it back from this trip. So, I burned the only civil flag I had left in my house as my final goodbye present.
