Present time, November 1, 2008.

Right in front of me is the man I looked up to while I was going through the hardest time of my life. Back when my older brother died, my mother diving even deeper into addiction because of depression, and stepfather took our siblings and left.

On TV I always heard him say "Change is possible and all we needed to do is stand up for it."

He stepped down and came into the crowd. Put his hands up; and began pointing towards the building behind, "The people in charge aren't getting things done for the people!!! Instead, they are just using us to keep the power in their hands."

I glanced at the TV and clenched my fists, "Our conservation clause is now in full effect and the homeless will no longer suffer that way again. The police can longer take such harsh methods anymore either."

What he was saying was making sense. I looked into the eyes of my brother on a family photo near the TV. I realized he fought for a cause and died defying it.

"With our tax dollars, the homeless will be freer than they've ever been!!!!!"

I stared at the TV once more, then walked away, "In a few years another corrupt person with power will take over and again we'll be left to rot."

I wasn't the only one who believed that, so did Lloyd. All the things that made Lloyd who he is and for some reason always had my back even to this day off that belief.

I began to start following behind my mom into depression.

My heart was pounding, "I can't believe you're here on this island."

He glanced at me; then smirked, "We all have our secrets, young man."

My eyes filled with hatred towards this man, "I trusted and believed in you, but you just turned out to be just as shady as the people we fought against."

He pulled out a family photo, "You never really know why you're fighting until it's put to the test and that is something I realized long ago."

I put my head down, "You inspired me to make a change from crying about my problems to taking them head-on."

I teared up a little, "I won't forgive you for abandoning the dreams that we've worked so hard to protect."

He grabbed some tools, "It was never going to happen, so I created a new dream that we'll all share but because you're still young; you won't yet understand it."

I felt confusion and conflict in my voice, "I still believe in what you stood for at one time, but I will no longer believe in you."

He started walking towards me, "We are going to begin by breaking you into shape, so you can be prepared mentally and physically for all the pain you're about to experience."

I mutter under my breath, "Do what you need to but once I escape you'll be the first one I take down."

I got punched in the face, stomach, and back for 30 minutes straight. After they were done I was badly bruised and was coughing up blood. Then they put me in a different room. I opened my swollen eyes and looked at the room. It was like some sort of chamber for conducting experiments.

One of them said, "Now the fun really begins."

They strapped me onto a conducting table. On it said experiment 1675.

He came up to me with a needle, "This will fix you. Turning you into an obedient dog."

Before injecting me with it, he punched me in the face again. I was dazed for a while. And couldn't make out who was injecting me because there were many of them speaking amongst each other.

One of them came up to me, "Look it's working."

I couldn't really speak because the damage they did to my throat until I started feeling weird. The serum they injected me had some type of healing factor.

As my body began to heal, "you guys have really messed up now. The serum you guys gave me could have been used to save so many lives but instead today it's going be used to stop you!!!"

One of them began saying, "There's a reason it hasn't yet been seen by the public yet, child. It's because the serum causes Mya poison in your body that eventually kills all your cells if your immune system is too weak to fight back. And little boy, this is only the beginning of your pain."

They went and grabbed medicine knifes gloves, face masks, and other equipment. I could tell they were about to start dissecting me or something. Before they could start, an explosion happened. The whole place started shaking and I thought that would be a distraction for my escape but couldn't because the serum started making me feel sluggish and numb. I was basically trapped both inside and out.

Lloyd came into the room while the scientists quickly ran out to see what happened. He came in, picked me up, and put me on his back.

I tried to smile, "Thanks for coming for me."

Lloyd looked at me, "I couldn't leave you to be killed but I can't say the same for the others. I don't trust any of them especially since it was one them who might have planned this."

I plucked the back of his head, "What do you mean?"

Lloyd sped up his walk, "One of them is most likely a mole."

I looked around with as much energy as I could, "It's not impossible but the reason we all met was to make a difference, a change. Why would you go through all that just to end up eventually becoming a traitor?"

Lloyd looked at the scars around inside the building, "Sid; we've only known these people for a short while, so nothing will change my opinion of them until time says otherwise."

We walked out of the underground room that led us near a pond. That pond had special herbs I recognized in class that fight off poisonous effects. The red in the middle, the golden flower is the one we need.

Lloyd grabbed it immediately, "Why?"

I told him what happened, and he quickly went to go get it. After getting it, I told him the instructions that we learned back at school on a day he was skipping class. I was able to move just a little bit better but all the pain I received was starting to come back. It nullifies the poisonous effects but temporarily stops the healing factor.

It wasn't easy but from there we kept on walking and eventually ended up near the new location of the camp. Before we met up with the group, we both stopped because we had a feeling in our gut that we might have been followed. So, we jumped into the bushes and looked back in the direction we came.

I look at the direction ahead of us, "Lloyd we should just keep moving this time maybe our gut was wrong."

I and Lloyd heard something behind us, "Don't move."

The guy was about to hit us with a bat until Lloyd stabbed him by moving the knife in a fast speed motion behind him and happened to hit a vessel tendon in his leg. Then we both punched him in his face, knocking him out. We meet back up with the group and managed to bring the guy with us. They asked us a lot of questions, but I ignored them. Lloyd pulled out a map from his pocket and gave it to Andrew.

I went to the group, "We should handle our business with this guy before we handle the business with me."

We woke him up with the smell of chuck's dirty socks.

Chucky was dying laughing from the face he made. The guy almost threw up from those socks on his face. Andrew told Chucky to stop laughing and we got closer to the guy. And thus, the interrogation begins.
