Levi was in a crappy mood.

He had just been informed that he was supposed to assassinate the Prince of Maria, Eren Jaeger. That wasn't the crappy part.

The crappy part was that he couldn't have his friends, Isabel and Farlan, come along to the stupid party Jaeger was attending to help him assassinate the man. If only the brat had just stayed at home and fell asleep, he could have done his job quicker.

But no, Kenny wanted him to go undercover for some unknown reason. Levi was wearing a midnight black shirt and black slacks and black shoes. Black was preferred, one would notice. His job was messy, after all.

He was in a carriage driven by Isabel and Farlan that would arrive at the king's place shortly. The plan was for Levi to go in, get him and the Prince alone, and murder him. No help from anyone. Great. He was awfully dreadful at social skills.

"Hey! Levi! We're here! Get your butt out and do your job so we can go home!" Isabel called out. Levi stepped out of the carriage and brushed himself of any dust.

"It won't be any longer than an hour or so. I'm not sure how difficult this brat is going to be. If I come rushing out of that building, full speed. Got it?" Levi ordered. The two of them nodded and he walked to the front gate.

"Good luck!" Levi heard Farlan call out. He opened the door with his handkerchief muttering, "Filthy" and let his eyes feast upon the sight.

Compared to what he was used to, the hall was magnificent. The blue and silver worked perfectly. He could see every color in every dress right away, he had to get a hold of himself. He had a job and he'd be damned if he didn't do it. The pay was enough for him to buy food for two years, get a cottage, and then some.

His eyes surveyed the room, looking for brown hair and greenish-blue eyes.

Levi finally spotted his target talking to a blonde girl. Next to Eren was someone who reminded him of himself. However, Levi noticed the sword strapped to her side and came to the conclusion she was more than likely his bodyguard.

Damn. Okay. Let's see...what can I do to make him follow me?

He started getting closer to Eren as he thought about his choices. While he did that, Petra didn't notice where she was going. She bumped into Levi and the three drinks in her hands slipped out of her reach.

Eren turned his head and those drinks came crashing down on his face. Petra looked like she was about to die and Eren looked a little stunned before giving Petra a small grin.

"At least I smell great." He said standing up. Some people gave stares but the incident generally went unnoticed.

"I'm so sorry, Prince Eren!" Petra said, quickly making her way over to him.

"No, no, it's fine. I just need to get myself cleaned up." He said getting a napkin to dry his hair. "Eren, that's not how you dry hair." The Levi-look-alike girl said.

Eren gave her a grin. "Sorry, Mikasa." Mikasa? Alright then. Levi thought. "Please follow Petra, she'll get you cleaned up," Historia said with a smile.

Eren nodded and followed Petra into a door and disappeared. I can follow them and wait for the girl to leave...then I can kill him. Levi thought.

He made his way discreetly and followed the two. Eren and Petra made some small talk with Petra repeatedly saying sorry and Eren assuring her it was fine.

Levi was growing tiresome of it until they reached what appeared to be a guest room. Slipping inside the room with them, he hid behind a mirror. Levi was an expert in hiding or blending in, it wasn't as crazy as one may think.

"Okay, you can change into another shirt in the washroom and I'll fix up your hair," Petra instructed, handing the Prince an extra shirt.

Eren did as he was told and came out looking as sharp as ever, minus the hair. Petra combed and dried it until Eren looked as good as new.

"I have to use the washroom, I know how to get back. Thank you, Petra." Eren said.

Petra bowed and left the room. Before Eren could even blink, Levi pounced on him. He locked his legs around Eren's waist and arms around his neck, using his weight to pull the Prince down.

What Levi was expecting was for his usual routine of getting the knife from his shoe, slitting the victim's throat, and then getting the hell out of the place.

What he wasn't expecting was for Eren to regain his senses so quickly and fight back. Because of that, Levi left his stomach unguarded which Eren took advantage of. He elbowed Levi in the stomach on his right and on his ribs on the left. Levi grunted and let go, falling to the ground. 'So the brat can fight. '

Levi got his knife from his shoes and held it in front of him. "Seriously? People trying to kill me in two months isn't fun." Eren complained, rolling his eyes. Levi didn't respond and charged at the brat.

Eren's eyes widened at first, scared because a short, angry (and dangerous looking) man was running up to him with a knife. However, before Levi could reach him, Eren seemingly calmed down a bit and used a technique Levi also wasn't expecting.

He lifted his left arm and extended his right leg, hitting Levi's right ankle making the man tumble gracefully onto the floor. Eren was quick, so when Levi got back up, he covered Levi's mouth and kicked his ankle, harder this time, making Levi flip onto his back.

"Damn Brat," Levi hissed out. He was raging on the inside because he wasn't expecting any of this. It would have been a lot different if he knew what the brat was capable of.  Even though Levi's ankle was hurting like hell, he got up to face Eren again.

However, the Prince was nowhere to be seen in the room, but the door was open.

"Shit," Levi muttered. He ran (with multiple curses coming out of his mouth) to nearest exit he could find.
