Kenny took a swing of his liquor, intensely staring at the door waiting for his nephew to come home. "I told the kid to come back soon, he's taking longer than usual," he croaked out. Kenny started counting the dollars in his hand. He wanted this prince gone, because of the prince's father's decision to help the damn military than the poor folk, his little sister had to contract a disease.
He had been miles away from their home, exploring and carrying the newest form of a gun, trying to find his purpose in life. Of course, his sister had to get pregnant and it took months for the news to get to him. By the time he arrived home, his sister died, leaving behind a fragile kid.
Kenny knew it was because of the damn king, he took money away for food for people in poverty and gave it to the military. He wanted revenge so bad, so so bad. Maybe that all happened to him so he could finally have a purpose in life.
He planned it for years, only knowing he was going to add Levi into the mix somehow. Then it clicked, kill the King's son, then his wife, then him. Of course, Kenny would have the honor of killing the king himself but the son and wife? Levi could take care of that. No need to use so much energy.
Suddenly the door opened to reveal a soaking wet Levi, some blood splattered on his hooded face but otherwise clean. Kenny didn't notice it had started raining and was mildly surprised to see that Levi's two kid-friends hadn't been behind him. "Where's the Prince's severed head, Levi?" Kenny asked simply, taking another sip of his liquor.
Levi shed his cloak off and took off his muddy boots, feet touching the cold floor. "They're dead. Prince Eren is still breathing," he replied staring at Kenny. Kenny's eye twitched. "He's still alive? Good joke, kid, but that's not possible. That's not what I said to do," he said. Levi shrugged. "The brat had a good technique, knocked me off my feet and when I had gotten up, the door was open and he was gone. I had to leave or else I wouldn't be standing right here," Levi replied.
Kenny set down his liquor bottle and stood up, facing Levi but having to bend, the kid was still short as ever. "Levi, you are going to be sent back out there again when that god damn sun rises again tomorrow and you are going to bring the Prince's head. Got all of that?" Kenny asked. Levi nodded. "Go hit the sack, you know the drill."
Levi walked into another room without another word. Even though Kenny didn't hit Levi, he knew he was always furiously angry when Levi didn't get the job done, though that wasn't often. Only three times in total, including this one.
Kenny smashed his bottle into the wall, smiling as he thought about that bottle being Grisha Jaeger, his lovely king. He was going to get his way and get that satisfaction of revenge. Sighing and tipping his hat, he sat down on his bed and fell asleep.

Levi woke up before sunrise, getting his things ready to go. The scene of his two friends being killed was still fresh in his mind, haunting him. He stood in that place, staring at their bodies for a good ten minutes with tears streaming his face. That was until he realized he had to get to Kenny in time to not get on the man's bad side, he didn't want to deal with his angry crap.
It wasn't hard to get everything ready, Levi barely had anything. Just another clean cloak, water and food, and medical supplies. Of course, he had weapons, what else was he going to use to kill the Prince?
There was a banging at the door and Levi opened it swiftly. He ignored Kenny and just took the knock as a signal to get out and go.
Levi sat on his horse and was off, not enough energy to care about Kenny.
