NINE

"Minhyuk, I will beat your ass if that's how much it takes to shut you up." I gave him a wide forced smile, my hands clenched into a fist. Kihyun rushes back with a glass of water and I chug it in my system, taking deep breaths. "Don't eat so fast." He said with a sigh before sitting back down beside me.

Minhyuk on the other hand, was holding back a quite obvious laugh. Kihyun turned to him, "what?" He shook his head, smiling. "If you're laughing at her choking, she could've died you know." I felt uncomfortable. I let out a small and short laugh, "now, now. Minhyuk was just laughing because of a joke he told me a few minutes ago."

Kihyun didn't seem too convinced and his glaring eyes never left Minhyuk. "We should probably head to school now. We don't wanna be late and all that." I laughed nervously. Kihyun nodded slowly and so did Minhyuk.

"Aish.." I said silently.

"As you can see 2+2 is indeed 4." I heaved a breath, looking down as my cheek rests on the palm of my hand. My hearing started to disappear as I doze off to dreamland. 

Kihyun was smiling at me, his hand holding onto mine. "Hyunji, I've been waiting for so long to tell you this." He said. I looked at his eyes and they were sparkling. "I'm.." his lips parted.

My body almost jumps up when the bell rang loudly. "Class dismissed." The teacher said. Everyone stood up from their seats and started walking out one by one. I heaved a breath and just slammed my head against my desk lightly. "I'm hopeless." I said silently.

"Want to talk about it?" I sat up straight, looking at the person who said that.

"Oh, Wonho." I looked up at him.

We both were licking our ice pops. "You didn't need to buy me one y'know. I could've bought myself one." I said. He chuckled, shaking his head. "It's fine. I don't mind spending a few cash on friends." I couldn't help but smile.

"What made you want to see me though? Don't tell me Kihyun forced you to hangout with me." Wonho suddenly bursts out laughing, "you're funny, Hyunji. And no, Kihyun did not tell me to hangout with you."

"It was actually because Kihyun said that he didn't feel like eating so I decided to check on you. Luckily I came in time and saw you looking like you were about to die." I let out a nervous laugh, "I can't help it. My class was really boring and it felt like 4 subjects."

Wonho nodded. I noticed that he finished his ice pop first before I could. Suddenly something cold dropped on my skirt, I felt it. I quickly reacted and noticed that my ice pop was melting like no tomorrow. "Crap!" I swore and started eating it quick.

He was just laughing at me. I can't believe this buff monster is actually the softest thing I have ever seen in my whole entire life. "Kihyun is planning to practice again today after school. Wanna come with us?" I quickly shook my head, "it's fine. I don't want to."

"You don't want to?" He raised a brow. I nodded, "yeah. I kind of already have plans today, but thanks anyway."  Wonho was shocked for a bit, "so who's the luck man?" He smiled at me.

I didn't quite get what he was implying to until I saw him give me a cheeky wink. "No, not like that!" I yelled, hiding my face with my hands. Wonho laughed, "I was kidding. Maybe."

"But really though, if you don't mind me asking, what are your plans?"

"This one drama I'm watching recently announced that they'll be playing all of the episodes today by 6pm and I can't miss that." I told him with a wide smile. "Can't that like.. wait? Your best friend is going to practice singing for his next competition."

I heaved a breath, "that sounds amazing, but the spoilers will be everywhere. And spoilers are one of the worst thing humans can experience." Wonho rolled his eyes, "what if I told you that Kihyun was actually ranting to me that he wants you to watch him practice?"

My body froze, "w-what did you just say..?" My eyes were wide. "Mhm." He placed his hands behind his back, giving me a smug look. "You're lying." I told him.

"Am I?"

I looked around, avoiding his eyes. It felt as if I was being hypnotized by his eyes. And just like that, he turned around and started walking away from me.

"I'll wait by the gate. I'm going by 5:00pm, alright?"
