FIVE

After a few hours of researching (it was already 3am), I heard footsteps outside of my house. I would look out the window to see what was causing the noise but I'm a big pussy. I start hiding my entire body beneath my comfortable blanket as my eyes started examining every inch of my room.

I started mumbling to myself as I felt my insides sweat a little. "What the fuck do I do if I die." I whispered to myself. The noise got louder and it almost felt like someone (or something) was inside my house. I closed my laptop shut and my room was almost dark since light came out from the curtain because street lights.

My legs were trembling. Is this how I die? Searching up some results about best friends never winning? Why am I even bothering, I don't see him like that.

Then it hit me, Minhyuk was in the room with me. I looked down where the mattress was and saw him sleeping peacefully under his blanket. "Should I wake him up or.." I looked at his back facing me and sighed, "nah."

Footsteps were heard climbing up the stairs and that's when my body shuts down. I suddenly couldn't move and it felt as if fear came alive and took over me. My mind was the only thing running and my heart; which was beating fast.

I heard the door knob twist open, making me shut my eyes and turn around, facing the wall while my back faced the door. My heart started pounding violently, my eyes were shut so harshly to the point I felt tears forming.

The footsteps were now silent but I felt them. They got closer and closer. Then I suddenly heard a thud, making my body jerk up and face the monster, screaming my lungs out. It felt as if my body had finally received life again and automatically woke up.

Then a very loud high pitched scream was filling my eardrums then something shattered. My body stands up and runs towards the switch, turning the lights on.

Only to see: Minhyuk.

A glass filled with water was now shattered into millions and millions of pieces on the ground.

"WHAT THE FUCK WERE YOU DOING?!" I yelled at him, my hand forming a fist. "I WENT DOWN TO GET WATER BUT THEN YOU SCREAMED!" He yelled back.

"YOU SCARED THE LIVING LIVEFORM OUT OF ME." I placed my hand onto my chest, taking deep breaths as I dropped my helpless body into my bed. "WELL I WAS SCARED TOO! DON'T PULL OUT THE VICTIM CARD ON ME, YOU WERE WHISPERING TO YOURSELF AND I THOUGHT IT WAS SOME LADY OUT TO GET ME!"

My lips parted, about to say something until the neighbor's lights turned on and I grabbed Minhyuk's wrist and pulled him down and turned the lights off. "Great, we woke them up." I whispered. Minhyuk folds his arms and pouts. I punched his head lightly, "idiot."

We eventually gave up and cleaned up the mess before going back to bed.

"Hey Minhyuk." I called, facing the ceiling. He hummed in response, I can tell he was already sleepy. "Why were you outside when you were down to get water?" I asked. There was a moment of silence.

"I.. was never outside." Then a loud noise came from outside.

"That'll show him." A deep voice said and the noise of footsteps were fading away. Before I knew it, Minhyuk jerks up and runs towards my bed and is now beside me. In my bed.

We were both under the same blanket and it was quite funny how he was scared as well. Until he accidentally punched my face.

"What happened to the both of you?" Kihyun asks the moment Minhyuk and I step outside. Our eyes had dark circles under them as we looked tired and were done with everything.

"A lot happened." Minhyuk and I said at the same time before walking right past Kihyun. He gives us a confused look before catching up with mine and Minhyuk's pace. "Did you two do anything last night?" He asks.

"If you're talking about the sexual shit, no. But we did sleep at the same bed." Minhyuk said effortlessly. My eyes widened and so did Kihyun's. Kihyun's first extinct was to try to grab Minhyuk by his collar but he dodged and started running while Kihyun fell for the trap and ran after him, making me giggle.
