We sat across each other on my bed. We both were consuming Kihyun's special chicken broth. "What did your teacher say when you were dragged to the nurse's office?" He asked, placing his spoon down.

I choked, punching my chest lightly. "I couldn't really tell if she was mad since my eyes were all blurry and my vision was pretty bad but I felt the tension rise, that's what I'm sure of." I explained, taking a sip from my glass filled with water.

Kihyun suddenly stood up and walked towards me, placing the back of his hand against the side of my neck and on my forehead. "You're much cooler now." He said. A smirk grew on my lips as I striked a confident pose, "haven't I always been cool?"

He smacks the back of my head lightly as I let out a few laughs. "You make me worried so much." At that moment I felt a vibe that he was actually serious this time. "Come on, I'm fine. Believe me." I said, but he didn't seem too convinced.

Kihyun ended up sleeping in my room, having a separate mattress of course. I was used to this. Ever since Kihyun knew about my parents working far and that I'm always spending my time alone, he's always been there for me. It's not like I'm complaining though. It's a nice feeling when you're with someone.

I ended up not falling asleep at all. I didn't know why. The curtains didn't fully cover the window beside my bed which made me admire the night sky. I ended up losing track of time.

My thoughts about life got deeper and deeper each minute that passed.

"You're still awake aren't you?" I heard Kihyun say. I didn't move at inch. I don't know why but it felt like I was hiding from a predator. He sighed, "just tell me you're awake. You can't lie to save your life, Ji."

I didn't respond. My back was facing him so I didn't know what to expect. I stayed silent and still as a rock.

"I've been waiting to get this off of my chest for years now.." he said. My eyes widened and my heart started pounding hard. What's going on?

"Ji, I don't know if I'll ever tell you this but.. at least I can tell you even though you're asleep." He suddenly paused. I heard the sound of his blanket move and footsteps approaching me.

I felt his body lay in bed beside mine. My heart was pounding harder and harder to the point it feels like it could burst out of my chest at any moment.

"Ji, I want you to know these three words I've been waiting to tell you.." I shut my eyes, panicking inside my head because I didn't know what to expect.

"You're an idiot." He whispered closely into my ear. My body jerks up and pushed him off of my bed, "I HATE YOU!" I hid my red face under the blanket.

Kihyun, who's not affected by my push at all, rolls around the ground, dying of laughter. "You're so mean!" I groaned in embarrassment as I rolled around in bed.

"What else did you think I was going to say?" He asked. Then the room got silent. I actually didn't know what to say. But for some reason when he came closer, I started panicking. Kihyun and I have never had awkward silence before which made this situation really uncomfortable.

"You're such a kid." Was all he said before crawling back into his separate mattress. "Go to sleep." He demanded before turning his back on me.

I nodded, "alright." I looked out the window once more before covering it completely with the curtain.

The next morning came and I felt something warm touch my forehead. I opened my eyes and see that Kihyun was checking on me. "Good morning." He greets with a smile as he shoved his hands in his pockets.

"What time is it?" I asked, rubbing my eyes with the back of my hands. "Its exactly 6am." I felt my eyelids getting heavy and heavy. His expression changed and he folded his arms, "did you not sleep when I told you to?"

"Of course I slept!" I defended. "Well, you seem fine now. So what do you want for breakfast?" His expression softened. The thing about Kihyun is that his expression could change in matter of seconds which is quite scary. "Sandwiches?" I raised a brow.

"You need rice, Ji. I don't want you passing out again. You need a meal."

"Fine, fine. Eggs and Spam. Either way, I have no ingredients here." I shrugged. "Don't worry, I came prepared." Kihyun suddenly takes out a tray magically and it has multiple things on it, making my eyes go wide.

It exactly had what I asked for. Scrambled eggs and Spam. "H-How did you--" he chuckled, "I know Spam is your favorite."

"I know, but when did you have time to buy and prepare?" I asked with wide eyes. "Well, I woke up at 5am and I decided to go grocery shopping real quick. Then I cooked your meal before finally waking you up."

He placed the tray down, on my bed and hands me chopsticks. I started eating, enjoying the meal he made for me. "This is so good!" I said with a wide smile. "Glad you like it. I made it crispy just the way you liked it."

I love Spam so much.

"Also, I'll go change now. Your uniform is by your desk and I prepared everything you need today." He walks out of my room and closes the door behind him. Kihyun opens the door again, "I'll go back to my place real quick. I'll come back for you so we can head to school together." He said and again, closed the door.
-

"Hurry your butt up." I heard Kihyun yell from outside. "I'M ALMOST DONE, WAIT!" I said and brushed my hair violently before leaving my room.

There stood Kihyun, already in his uniform, with his arms folded. He hands me a plastic bag. I looked at him then turned my attention to the bag. "I brought some snacks for you and I made you lunch, which is in your bag."

"I'll check on your lunchbox after school if you ate lunch or not. And don't even give it to anyone." He points to me. I nodded, putting the plastic bag filled with snacks in my bag.

Then Kihyun and I went to school.
