The guys ended up separating. Kihyun and I were left alone. "So what have you been up to the whole day?" He asked. I paused for a sec, "I just did the ordinary.  Nothing new." Kihyun sighed and nodded, I couldn't help but see sadness in his eyes.

"Is something wrong?" I asked. "It's nothing too serious. I just feel bad that I'm not hanging out with you as much as we used to." He said, his head down. I didn't even know how to respond with that. I chuckled, "it's only been a couple of days, Kihyun. It's not like were never gonna see each other again. And if that small chance is gonna happen, you can always talk to me."

"But how will I talk to you if we won't even see each other?" He said with a hint of annoyance in his voice. I didn't expect that respond from him. I stayed silent.

He brushed his hair back in frustration and let out a breath. "I just don't want to lose you. We've been friends for years and the last thing I need is to never see you again." My heart started pounding faster. "I feel the same way.." I mumbled under my breath.

"So who did you spend these past days with when I'm not around?" He changed the topic. I choked, "just a couple of friends." He raised a brow and gave me the look he always gives me.

"I've been.. hanging out with your friends a lot these days. Not all of them though. Mostly Minhyuk but today I spent my day with Wonho." He nodded. "Have they been treating you well?" He asked. I nodded without a hesitation, "of course."

Kihyun started to stretch, "I can't wait to sleep inside my room." He said with a smile. I let out a laugh. My phone rings and it was Minhyuk. Speak of the devil.

"In a sec." I told Kihyun and gestured him to my phone as I answered his call. "Hello?"

"Hey uh.. so my mom locked the house already."

-KIHYUN'S POV-

Hyunji suddenly gestured towards her phone and I nodded. She answered it and started talking. I didn't wanna eavesdrop but who wouldn't when she's literally right beside me. The call takes her a while and she suddenly groaned, "fine." She then hangs up after a while.

I cleared my throat, "who was that?" She sighed, "it was Minhyuk." I raised my eyebrows, "what did he call you for?" She shrugged, "his mom already locked the house and is asleep so he asked if he could sleep at my place."

-HYUNJI'S POV-

Kihyun's eyes were wide the whole time. After a few blocks, we arrived at our place and already, Minhyuk was sitting near a streetlight and waved at us with a huge smile on his face. "How long have you been waiting?" I asked him.

"Not for long." He replied back. We all gathered towards my gate as I opened it with my keys, "you can go home now, Kihyun. After all, you need all that rest after all of your practices." I said as I opened the gate. He looked at me and turned back to Minhyuk. Already I knew what was on his mind.

"Relax. We've done this before and nothing wrong happened." I reassured him. Kihyun didn't seem too pleased. "You know what, I think I can come over too." He said with a smile and was about to enter but I stopped him. I chuckled, "do you really think anything bad is going to happen if Minhyuk stays over?"

"It's not that. I just don't.. trust him." I rolled my eyes and started pushing him towards his house which was literally next door. "I'll call you if something happens, don't worry."

Kihyun, once again gave me a look. "I really don't mind, Hyunji--" I cut him off, "nope. You're sleeping at your place. Trust me, Minhyuk won't do anything stupid. You should know that." He rolled his eyes with his arms folded.

"He's your friend, Kihyun. At least give him a little trust here." I told him. I finally waved him goodbye and led Minhyuk inside my house finally. We both entered my home and finally closed the door. I heaved a breath that it was over.

"Does Kihyun not trust you that much?" I asked. Minhyuk chuckled, "he's probably jealous that I'm sleeping over and not him. You know why?" I didn't respond and just raised my eyebrows. "I think Kihyun likes you." He said with a wide smirk.

I rolled my eyes, "Don't make me regret letting you in, Minhyuk." I warned him. He just giggled softly, "sorry, sorry. Won't happen again. No promises though." He whispered the last part but I just shrugged it off.

"So why does Kihyun not trust you?" I went back to the topic. "Believe it or not but he actually does trust me.  When it involves you he doesn't though." He laughed. "How so?" Minhyuk started rubbing his chin as if he was thinking of something.

He snapped his fingers as his face lights up, "I know why!" I looked at him. "He likes you."

"I've had enough I'm going to sleep." I said as I started heading towards my room. As I'm talking I can hear his soft footsteps behind me but I chose to ignore it. "Or maybe you like him."

"Since you're sleeping over you might want to tell me why do you think I like him or see him in a romantic way?" I turned back to face him. "I don't really have an actual reason but I do have to agree that you two would make a cute couple and I guess it's because you both seem like a good fit for each other?" But before I could even reply,

"Cause y'know, you're both equally as stupid but my biased self still says that Kihyun is the dumbest person in the entire world." It led to me punching him multiple times on his shoulder, "you little bitch--"

"YOU SWORE I'M TELLING!"

-KIHYUN POV-

As I was finishing my homework, I could hear Minhyuk's loud scream from my room. I went towards my window and peaked through the curtains, hesitating a little because it felt weird peeping at Hyunji's window. Regardless to say, I did it.

It's not that visible but if you looked closely, I could see both of their shadows sitting on her bed. "Stop fucking yelling dumbass! You're gonna wake the entire neighborhood up." Hyunji scolded Minhyuk as I heard his very faint giggle. I couldn't help but smile a little at the two.

For the longest time I've been hesitating if whether or not it was a bad idea to make her friends with my friends. I never really want to risk them hurting her. Sure, there might even be a possibility that she'll hurt them but.. what are the chances of that? But slowly, she's getting closer with them.

It's weird because it feels like it was just yesterday we first exchanged words. I remember trying to help her earn and gain friends since she wasn't much of an "open" person when it comes to people she just met.

At first I thought I was really close with her but turns out she didn't even tell me anything about herself. I'm glad that all changed though. I can't help but smile at her.
