Cristal's POV

Kahit papaano naging okay naman na ako after ng mga ngyari sa akin this past few weeks. Pero siyempre hindi ko pa rin makakalimutan ang mga happenings na nakakatuwa mang isipin na ngyari sa akin ang mga ito, they helped me a lot to be brave.

I just don’t know why, there’s something inside that brought me to finally come out of my shell and made me somewhat confident. Eto ata talaga nadudulot ng mga heart broken e, you don't have a choice but to be strong.

Naging excited ako sa upcoming program namin, and I was likely sad to say that Carl felt bumpy about me –being cheerful around with so much smile on my face but I was satisfied though because he said that no matter what happen he’ll be my not-so-likely I would prefer to call –brother to me.

Shocking as it was, wala pa ring mas nakakagulat this afternoon at the basketball stadium.

Nagprapractice kami ni Carl for the preparation para mamaya in our favorite place sa campus –yes, wala kami sa theater room kasi may meeting ang mga leadlets so we have to find our place to settle our own activities.

“Uwi ka na?” tanong ko kay Carl, checking on his phone.

“Oo eh, kailangan ako sa bahay.”

“Mmmm…” I nodded. Then I embraced him.

“Hintay mo pa si Krizha?” Tumango ulit ako.

“Bye.”

Isang huling tango and ngumiti lang ako habang kumakaway sa kanya.

I took a gusty sigh and pursed my lips. I was staring his back as he walked away from me, the same stance… nothing’s changed, and still the Carl’s posture I’ve known.

He has a black Jansport backpack, his hands on his pocket and he has a long straight black shaggy hair that always reminded me one of those Korean artists on the television na pinapanood lagi ni Seph.

While I’m waiting for Krizha, I decided na mag-stroll muna sa basketball stadium hanggang tumigil ako sa court. Nakita ko ang isang bola sa gitna ng court and I tried to shoot it sa basket on the free-throw line. I was not expected na masho-shoot siya. But I’m not mostly expecting that I have company pala inside the stadium, and it was the person that I least expected to show.

“You’re good.”

I was frozen when I heard that very familiar voice at my back.

“I was not expecting you here.”

Then suddenly he runs towards the ring and dunk the ball. Damn, he’s so a perfect. Napanganga lang tuloy ako dito.

“Hinihintay mo ba si Krizha?” Grabbing the ball on his large two hands walking all the way towards me.

“A-… ah.” I clean my throat bago pa ako mapahiya dahil sa pagnginig ng boses ko.

Then before he let me regain my voice to speak, he smirks… teasingly while dribbling the ball.

Now, I considered the things Krizha always telling me about, how arrogant and upfront he was but I will try not to judge.

“Relaxed, hindi ako ganoong ka-monster tulad ng pinagsasabi ni Krizha, pero alam kong mas worst pa siguro doon ang mga pinagsasabi niya.”

Tumawa lang siya ng unti tapos nakasmile pa rin siya sa akin.

Ugh, I can’t feel my legs. Siguro kapag nandito si Krizha, pagtatawanan lang ako nun kasi makikita niya kung gaano ako ka-uncomfortable sa tayo ko ngayon, and it always bugs me to think of it. Hindi ko naman kasi ine-expect na pupunta siya dito with the leadlets-meeting stuffs and mas lalong hindi ko ine-expect na kakausapin niya ako na parang super close na kami.
