I fell in love with a storm that shook me to the core and broke me wide-open.
His thunder roared against the burning sky. His voice full of determination, the battering winds of frustration echoing in my frazzled soul:
"We're not done yet, Freckles. I wouldn't run too far away."
He keeps drowning everything he holds in his arms. I let myself burn everything around me. My fire and wings against his consuming, calamitous gust.
He was my everlasting tempest that I needed to overcome. But in the end, he was just a storm and they don't last forever.
moonbroch • noun A halo around the moon which presages an approaching storm.
gust • noun A strong, abrupt rush of wind or a sudden burst of something such as rain, sound, or emotion.
tempest • noun A violent windstorm, frequently accompanied by rain, snow, or hail.
