Chapter 16: Part two

Rykers POV:
.....friend." I hate calling her my friend! Unfortunately that's all she is right now is a friend. I wish she was mine though, I mean how could I not. She's perfect.

Selene's POV:
Friend? Why does my heart hurt? It shouldn't hurt! I mean unless..I like Ryker. I mean why else would my heart feel like this? I should be happy he called me his friend instead I just want to cry. Great! So glad I figured that out...NOT! "Yep anyways it was nice talking to you we need to go though see you tomorrow." Ryker says as he picks up Emmy. "Hey Selene?? Let's go!"

***20 minutes later***
Me and Ryker are in the car and he won't tell me where we going! Once we dropped off Emmy I started bothering him trying to get him to tell me where we were going but he just won't budge! All I know is that we're like five minutes from the town over. I think he might be going there but I don't know what he's going over there for they don't have anything more than what our town has.

Rykers POV:
I can see the gears turning in her little head as she tries to figure out where I'm taking her. It's really funny seeing her become so frustrated. The place we headed doesn't usually have anything to do over there but right now the carnival is there. It will be headed to our town next but I really want to take Emmy to that one then so I'm taking Selene to this one now. Her brother told me about how much she loves it so I figured it would be perfect but first we need to eat! "What do you want to eat? They don't have anything different from what our town has well other than Waffle House." At the mention of Waffle House she gets this huge grin on her face and goes to grab her notebook. "No point in grabbing that out of your bag. You want Waffle House, don't you?" Looking at her out of the corner of my eye I see her jump up and down and aggressively shake her head yes. "Okay it's like 10 minutes from the edge of town so we should get over there soon."

Selene POV:
It's been like six or seven minutes since he said that and we're pulling up now. Yay! Waffle House is my favorite I always get the hash brown bowl every time! It's so good! Jumping out of the car as soon as it's parked I wait on Ryker to grab his keys and phone before stepping out and looking at me. "Do you need a jacket yet? It's cold." I quickly shake my head no. I know if I put it on now I'll just take it off in there. He shrugs saying," okay come on." Once we're seated and have our menus Ryker asks if I want him to order for me seeing as how I don't talk and that way I wouldn't have to pull out my notebook. After pointing at what I want to him he smiles and says," okay want to split one order of waffles? I like waffles but I can never eat both of them. The syrup is too much." After agreeing he catches out waiters attention and orders for us.

Rykers POV:
I actually really dislike waffles, but I can tell that she likes them so I ask if she wants to split some. I probably wont even take a single bite but by that time I can always tell her I'm full and give them to her. As long as it makes her happy. I've noticed that she's been typing on her for about a minute now so I clear my throat to try and catch her attention. However as soon as I do she turns her phone around and hands it to me. I quickly see now why she had been typing so much she had a list of questions for me, some of these questions are so childish that I can't help but look at her like she had gone crazy but as soon as I did she gave me puppy dog eyes. God it's so cute! Fine, I'll answer the questions.
