Chapter 1 Gummy Bears

           *beep**beep* My alarm clock goes of I roll over and hit the snooze button aggravated that it woke me up. I roll back over and grab my pillow soon falling back to sleep.  I feel something tugging at my sheets and then I hear pans banging together downstairs. I sit up looking at my best friend, Kat. She smiles and says, " Selene (a the old Greek goddess, don't ask, just know my parents are weird)  you do realize you have ten minutes to get ready, right?" I panic and scramble out of bed grabbing clothes. While taking a 2 minute shower my best friend yells, "I'm going down stairs."
              I walk downstairs ,with my notebook in hand, and the first thing I see is kat, or katherene, kissing Andrew. I shield my eyes and bang on the wall signaling that I've entered the room. I hear Andrew laugh. so I uncover my eyes to see Kat blushing. I mean come on why is she blushing! I've seen them make out a hundred times now. Anyway we head out the door and get in Andrew's car, heading to school. YAAY!!!!! Note the sarcasm.
                                             **********later on that day**********
        It's lunch time now. As I'm walking out of class Kat and Andrew fall in beside me.  They always wait for me outside the classroom cause if they don't I get bullied. Which is one of the reasons I don't speak. I'm scared if I do talk and get help,  it will get worse. The only reason Kat and Andrew know is because Kat caught them bullying me a few years ago and took up for me we have been  best friends since and of course she told Andrew(Andy is his nickname so andy from now on).  At first I assumed he would just be like whatever, Because he is friends with some of the people that used to bully me. I say used to because when he found out he beat every one of them to a pulp, friend or not. I used to think he only did it for Kat but no he and her broke up once and even then he still took up for me. He is a football player but he is smart and he does not like fitting into some stereotype. So needless to say my opinion of him changed and now I couldn't live without him or Kat.
              As we get close to the cafeteria we hear loud noises and laughter. So we run in only to get hit with greasy school pizza and cupcakes, that the baking club made. You would think we would leave to get cleaned up but no we join into the massive food fight. In the middle of battle I reached in my bag and took out my gummy bears aiming them at Andy's head Unfortunately for me I ran out and that gave andy the opportunity to smash a cupcake in my face. As I wiped it off the intercom came on and everyone stopped. The principal spoke over saying that all of our parents were coming to get us, and that those who drove themselves home were to leave. I head to the girls bathroom. As I'm

walking out from getting cupcake off my nose I received a text from Kat saying for me to meet them at the car. I turned to head to the door whilst thinking about the gummy bears I wasted I bumped into a guy. Not just any guy no fate was mean I bumped into the guy....Ryker Xavier Willson. He is the most feared guy in the whole town of waterfall valley . My first thought was, "I'm so dead! He's going to kill me." He looked at me then bent down as my eyes followed him I realized he was picking up my books, so I bent down helping after it was picked up I looked up to see him standing over me looking at me with bright ocean blue eyes that made me melt ,just a little bit. I opened my notebook and wrote down " I'm sorry I bumped into you and thank you for picking up my things. Please don't kill me" I handed the notebook to him as I grabbed my things from his hands and shoved them in my bag. As I look over to him I see he is shaking in silent laughter I grab my notebook feeling scared.

I've been looking at him for a few minutes now. Finally he quits laughing and looks at me with those piercing blue eyes. He asks," Is your throat sore or something." I write down ,"No, Why do you think that?" "Well if your throat isn't sore then why wont you speak can you not speak?" To which I reply(write)"yes I can speak but I choose not to." "Why?" I just shrug. As I walked past him to head to the car I notice he is smiling and let me tell you that smile nearly gave me a heart attack. just ugh! He may be scary but he is Fine! Ireally need to stop thinking like that I mentally scold myself.
