Chapter 7: Selene scare

I'm so confused. Emma is with Ryker? What is going on. Wait Emma is with Ryker! I run up and push him off grab her and run downstairs. What do I do!?!? I need to protect her, panicked I go into the kitchen grabbing a butcher knife.Hearing him coming down I put Emma in one of the cabinets. She keeps trying to tell me something but right now I need to hide her. I tell her to stay very quite. He reaches the bottom of the stairs and starts yelling for Emma, who in turn screams back. She gets out and runs to him screaming brother. Wait ohh no that's what she was trying to tell me he wasn't going to hurt her. Ugh just great. The front door opens and my brother comes in, "what's wrong!" Ryker hearing him comes to the kitchen," what is your problem! Why did you just take Emma away from me and why are you here,"he yells at me. My brother,knowing I'm not going to talk,says," she doesn't speak. This is my sister,Selene and I would like to know why she did that as well." I  nod going upstairs to get my notebook.
        *****1 hour later*****
        My brother has just finished explaining that Emma is Ryker's  little sister and the reason he came back. They won't explain why Emma is here and not at home but ok. Ryker asks," why doesn't she talk?"" When I left she went mute because I wasn't here.She was practically alone and the kids at that school made her life miserable and after a while she just stopped talking.""oh," Ryker say,looking over to me,"so do we go to school together Selene and if so how have I never seen you?" Taking my notebook" we do go to the same school and you have seen me but I try to hide. I don't like attention much.""oh ok well they won't be touching you ever again." Shaking my head, I think I guess he doesn't remember that i bumped into him or that him and his friends harassed me but oh well the less drama,the better.
