Imagine Loki telling you he's adopted

You arrive back in Asgard after you went to visit your good friend Jane Foster. After your brother Thor brought her to Asgard, you started to become friends and you visited her once in a while. You walk over the Bifrost with your horse, when you see guards rushing to you. "Princess Y/N.", they say and make a quick bow.

"Your brother Loki is dying."

Your eyes widen and you almost immediately start to cry.

"Take me to him."

They bring you to Loki, as you walk into the room you see him lying on the bed, Thor, Frigga and Odin around it. "Oh Loki...", is all you can say.

"What happened? Why does Loki look like a Frost Giant?"

"There is something Loki needs to tell you... We'll leave you two alone.", Frigga says and leaves the room, together with your Brother and Father.

"Y/N...", Loki whispers weakly.

"Loki... What's happening? I don't understand... Who did this to you?"

"I haven't been completely honest with you. I am not what you think I am. I am one of them."

"L-Loki, what do you mean?"

You didn't want to believe it. You didn't want to believe he was a Frost Giant.

"I am a monster. My body is freezing itself. Soon my heart will freeze too and it will stop beatig. I want you to know that I love you, I always did. You're my only sister, you mean everything to me."

"Adopted or not, you will always be my brother.", you say crying, wanting to hold his hand but you can't.

"Is there anything I can do for you?"

You felt so helpless. You wanted to stop it but you couldn't.

"Will you stay with me?"

"Always."

You see a tear falling down on Loki's cheek to, it only makes you cry more. "Did Thor know?"

"You were the only one who didn't."

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"I wanted to keep you safe. I wanted you to not worry about me. What if you were scared of me?"

"Oh Loki, I don't care what you are or what you look like, as long as you're okay it's fine with me.", you say, smiling between your tears.

Loki moans out of pain and his eyes slowly close.

"Goodbye...", he whispers with his last breath.

"Someone please help!"

Thor rushes into the room, followed by Frigga and Odin. "Loki! Please Loki, wake up!", you scream, panicking, your sight blurred with tears.
