Daniella's POV

I heard a knock on the door. I got up and opened it seeing Jerome, with Delilah standing next to him.

"WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU DO" I yelled at Jerome grabbing Lilah's arm and pulling her inside next to me.

He put his hands up and stepped backwards, "ANSWER ME" I yelled going to hit him but Lilah ran in front of him.

She put her arms in X formation as if to block the hit, which I never threw. "Don't" she said weakly. I starred at Jerome.

"Spill it" I said harshly. I am, technically, older however I act like she's my five year old sister, I guess she got the worst of dad, so she shouldn't get the worst in other places.

"Delilah tried to kill herself, I stopped her" he said softly. I opened my arms and enveloped Lilah in a hug as she cried.

"Thank you, Jerome." I said quietly his face saddened, with that he left, not saying another word.

Lilah and I stood there for who knows how long. We just stood there slowly swaying back and forth while she cried.

"Why do you have to be the stronger one?" she asked her voice cracking under her sobs.

"One of us has to protect the other" I said, "and the other is you.." I laughed lightly, she soon joined me.

"I'm sorry Dani" she whispered letting go of me.

"It's understandable" I said quietly.

"Not sorry about that.. well I mean I am but that's not what I'm sorry about right now." she rambled I looked at her confused.

"Why are you sorry then?" I asked.

"Jerome- I-" she trembled, I felt the heat drain from my face. I don't trust him, not the slightest bit, any of them.

"No." I said walking inside, she trailed behind me.

"What do you mean no?" she asked trying to get my attention again.

"No. Just no."

"What do you mean just no?" she asked standing in front of me.

"I don't want you hanging out with him, much less anything else" I said her face flushed, "so no" I said then brushed past her to our room.
