Give me reasons we should be complete
You should be with him I can't compete
You looked at me like I was someone else (oh well)
Can't you see? (Can't you see?)
I don't wanna slow dance (I don't wanna slow dance)
In the dark, dark

The next morning Felix woke up before Mark, he got out of bed and walked down to start some breakfast. Marzia and Ken walked into the kitchen but Mark was still asleep.
"Guys, Mark tried to jump from that balcony last night." Felix sighed plating the last bit of eggs.
"We really need to keep his mind off things," Ken said as Felix placed a plate in front of him.
"We can go over to that beach and just hang out if you want?"
Ken and Mariza nod and dig into their food.
Felix walks off to Mark's room and sees the sleeping man sprawled out all over the bed.
He gently shook him, "Markimoo, breakfast is ready."
"Five more minutes mom." Mark groans.
"Mark Fischbach if you don't get up this instant I will get Ken to throw water on you, again."
Mark jumps up at the memory of that, "NO that water was so cold!"
"You almost made us late you cute shithead, come on."
Mark pouts but fails and smiles and the two best friends join the meal and practically scarf down their food.

After a while of showers and such the group walks out to the beach. They lay out a big blanket and have a stack of towels just in case.
Mark laid on his back and enjoyed the sun, he loved cold weather but he definitely liked tanning more.
Felix was sitting with Marzia under a big umbrella that was already provided for them and Ken was in between the couple and Mark. He was reading one of his favorite books.
The group all sat in silence for an hour, Mark flipping over after 30 mins to tan his back as well.

"Hey, Ken, will you get in the water if I do?"
"Of course."
"YAY!"
Mark and Ken giddily run over to the ocean and walk into about knee height.
"Huh, I expected this to be a lot colder." Ken laughs.
Mark falls dramatically to wet the rest of his body and resubmerges just to splash Ken.
"YOU LITTLE SHIT!"
Mark starts giggling and swims the opposite way of Ken, but Ken is always much faster.
He picks Mark up on his shoulder and then throws him back into the water. Mark flies back up, "You're so mean!"
Ken smiles cheekily.

The group went to dinner at a nice restaurant and then got home and all went to bed.
Mark's phone vibrated and he looked down to see that stupid unknown number again.
Unknown number: hey, do you not want to talk to me?
Mark: I don't know who you are, dude.
Unknown number: I go to your school
Mark: wow thanks that makes it so clear

Mark scoffs and is prepared to block this number until his phone dings with another text.

Unknown number: I'm in love with you. I have been for a long time.
Mark: Will you tell me who you are?
Unknown number: I will after fall break, in person so it isn't just texting.
Mark: Okay.

With that, Mark put his phone on charge and slid under the covers and fell asleep.

The next morning the group got together and went to the shopping center that was labeled one of the main attractions of the area.
Mark had been texting this number on and off, they were hitting it off pretty decent. It just kind of seemed like they were only saying things Mark would want to hear, though.
Mark decided he wasn't going to reveal any personal information to this person because he has no idea how this is going to turn out and he definitely wasn't excited about it.
The person did make Mark giddy, though. He felt like someone actually noticed he was a potential partner.

Ken spoke which knocked Mark out of his train of thought, "Hey there's a Gamestop here!"
Ken led them into a smaller store but the inside was loaded with different games, t-shirts, cosplay items and more.
All of them split up to look at different things.
Mark saw a cute plushie of Chica from FNAF and just had to have it, he walked over to find his other friends and saw they all had items they wanted to buy as well.
They walked over to the checkout and placed their items on the table.
After they paid they ventured off and went store to store eventually all of them having several bags to hold.
"This has been one of the best vacations I've had!" Marzia says happily.
Mark smiles at her and they finally decide it's time to go back. They didn't even realize it had gotten to dinner time until Mark checked his phone.
He replied to a text from his mystery person and then they loaded all their things in the trunk and headed to their temporary home.

They arrived and went straight to the kitchen and began cooking a nice meal for dinner.
They decided on steak with mashed potatoes as a side. They didn't want too much considering Felix convinced them all to get giant pretzels from one of the food court stands.

Once they finished cooking they sat our their plates and quickly cleaned up then sat down to eat.
"Home cooked meals are always so worth it," Mark says with a mouth full.
"EWWW MARKIMOO TALKED WITH HIS MOUTH FULL!" Ken shrieks like a toddler.
Mark throws a napkin at him which lands in his mashed potatoes.
Mark bursts out laughing and almost chokes on his food which makes everyone else laugh.
Once they calm down they sit in silence and realize it's perfectly comfortable just because of this bond they had.
Mark wishes the silence when he was in his room was always this comfortable.

"You guys can head to bed I'll finish up these dishes."
"Awww thanks, Mark!" Felix says dramatically and plants a kiss on the side of his head.
Mark smiles while the group heads off to their rooms and then it drops once they're all out of sight.
He stacks the plates and puts the silverware on top and places it into the sink. He goes back and stacks the cups and puts them on the table next to the sink.
He begins washing them and tries to ignore the dull ache in his chest.
He knew he was going to have another breakdown but for now, he made himself focus on finishing the dishes.
When his breathing becomes a bit more erratic he feels himself zone out. He forces himself to think of his favorite things and when his brain finally snaps back to reality he notices he has been aggressively scrubbing the same plate the whole time.
He sighs and rinses it off and puts it in the dish strainer.
He forces his feelings down and finishes the rest as quickly as possible and rushes off to his room.
He closes the door and breathes heavily with his body leaned against it. He feels like he's trying to run from someone, but the only person he's trying to get away from is himself.
He pushes off the door and changes into more comfortable clothes and sits in the middle of his bed.
He forces himself to reply to the text from the person he doesn't even know and then puts his phone on charge and refuses to pick it back up.

Mark slides his hands up his face and slides them through his hair then grips at it and feels tears starting.
He just lets them fall. He knows he can't force himself to be strong forever.
He knew he should be happy. He has great friends, his mom is so loving, and he isn't living in a bad situation, but depression doesn't discriminate. It finds anyone and hurts anyone.
Mark releases his hair and smacks his head once. He felt as if that could knock these thoughts out, but it doesn't.
Mark gets up and digs through his drawer and finds that stupid picture of him and Sean and sits back down on his bed. He stares at it for a while. He didn't even realize he was sobbing until it fell over.
Mark felt angry now.
The picture fell just like their friendship fell apart. He pulled the picture closer and lifted his hand up and punched it. He hit it as hard as he could until he grew tired. His chest was heaving up and down. He pulled his legs to his chest and hugged them tightly. He threw his head down onto his arms and let the rest of his tears out. He was sure his hand was bleeding and there was probably plenty of glass on his bed, now, but right now he didn't really care.
Then, his door opened.

"M-Mark?" Ken asked cautiously.
Mark jumped out of his skin.
'Why am I so stupid? I knew I was too loud. Idiot. Now your friends can't sleep because of you.'
Mark visibly frowned and looked away from Ken with shame clear on his face.
Ken walked over to Mark and pulled him to his feet. He then looked over to the bed and saw the shattered picture frame.
He didn't say anything but pulled Mark into a tight hug.
"Go into the bathroom and wait for me, okay? I'm gonna clean this up really quick."
Mark turned away and went into the bathroom and did as told.
'Now Ken has to baby you. Are you proud of yourself? What are you going to do when you're alone?'
Mark squeezed his eyes shut, "Shut up."

Moments later Ken walked in and dug through the cabinet, he pulled out Neosporin, tweezers, and a bandage. He ran water over Mark's hand first then used the tweezers to get any remaining glass out. Once he was satisfied he had gotten it all he rubbed extra Neosporin all over the wound and wrapped it in the bandage.
"Mark, are you okay?"
"No."
"Do you need me to stay up with you? We can play Mario Kart in the entertainment room."
"That would be nice, but I don't wanna keep you awake because I'm being a baby."
Ken's face twisted into one of confusion, "Mark, you're not being a baby. You're sad, that isn't your fault. Are you trying to get out of it because you know I'm going to beat your ass?"
Mark managed to crack a smile at that, "You always know what to say, Kenny boy."
"That's what I'm here for, c'mon we can make some popcorn to enjoy in between games."
